My late husband had the doctor as his urologist through the VA. Two years ago he diagnosed my husband with non invasive bladder cancer . My husband used to go see him every 4 months to insure that the cancer was still non invasive and each time he was told it had not. In the meantime for many of those visits my husband complained of various pain and said it felt like a kidney stone. He was sent by the doctor for scans and the results always came negative ( so they said). He lost over 50 pounds in two months ,couldn’t keep food down. The VA kept saying and the urologist nothing. A week before he died we went again to the VA emergency room . He could barely walk the gave him a pint of blood and we went home. That was on a Saturday. On Monday an oncologist , not connected to the VA sent him for a PT scan and we were notified the following day that my husband had kidney cancer that had spread all over. He died less than a week later. Could it be that This so called urologist is so… incompetent that after multiple complaints by my husband and even saying it felt like a kidney stone that the doctor didn’t even bother to do a biopsy ? His blood and urine work ups show that there was a problem. A former head nurse at the VA once warned me ,send him there and kiss him good bye.

Work for Private Practice then you worked at the VA part-time

Beside having his private practice he also works with the VA . That should tell ya somthing .

If the doctors would have a support system at hand would be a big help

It was hard to get him to look up from texting as we walked into his office and sat down. Took what sounded like personal phone call while there. Seemed very disinterested.

Excellent bedside manner. Dr Prasad took the time to talk with me and understand my problem. No problems following my surgery.
