Dr. Rakesh Hegde, MD

I was assigned Dr. Hegde at Cox Health Springfield when I went to the ER for diverticulitis. In my follow up visit he scheduled a colonoscopy at The Martin Center for a couple of weeks later. He gave me a list of preparation requirements which I followed to the T. On the day of I went to the Martin Center to check in and THEIR list of preparation requirements did NOT match those of Hegde’s . And they refused to do the colonoscopy. I was furious and called Hegde’s office FROM the Martin Center and told them what was happening and they TRANSFERRED my call to customer service! Customer service finally called me back hours later with NO explanation of how this occurred. I asked for an apology call from Hegde and an explanation FROM him. I ended up writing 6 emails then got a call from a VP —but NOT from Hegde. I NEVER heard from ..EVER. Hegde had said I would “probably “ need a bowel resection but need to confirm that thru the colonoscopy he scheduled. I went to Merct in Fayetteville, had… a colonoscopy (with NO problems) and the surgeon said I in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORMneeded ANY kind of surgery. I do NOT recommend Cox or Hegde for ANT serious procedures.
