Dr. Ralph Michael Amedeo, MD

Top-notch doctor in every aspect! Was his patient for many, many years until I moved out of state. No one since can even come close. I greatly miss him!

I had already been going to Dr. Amedeo (annual physicals) for a few years when i was admitted into the ER for chest pains. Was pleased to see him come visit me in morning rounds after they kept me in one night for observation. He was gentle, but accurate in his diagnosis (it was probably very bad acid reflux). He is a superb diagnostician. For this reason i recommend him to friends. Has made Arlington hospital a leader with computerization and individualized healthcare. Very accurate in predicting where my health was going next. I wish i had always taken his advice. Wise soul.

I saw Dr.Amadeo twice: as a new doctor for my annual checkup, and for a follow up. Although he has a fancy office, he never invited me there for a discussion on a blood test results or for initial introduction, both visits were brief and conducted in an exam room. During my initial check up he spoke with his son on a phone for about 10 mints. Afterwards for about a year his office kept sending me a bill for 136 dollars, although my insurance pays fully for an annual visit, which I tried to explain to the staff. Recently his office sent me a nasty letter telling that they refuse me future services since I haven't payed the bill. My opinion about it is that if their procedure is more expensive then other doctors, they should worn you about it in advance. In general he seemed like very regular three starts doctor.

I left Dr Amedeo after several yrs as a patient because of his staff. Appointments, follow up questions, test results and insurance questions and issues were a nightmare. Although these are not medical considerations, the occurances were of such frequency, that I refused to put up with that, sacrafycing Dr. Amedeo. He was referred to me by a friend whom he made an early potentially life saving diagnosis.

I sometimes have to wait 20 minutes or more, however, in a small practice like this, the time spent with patients is not predictable, and I know that one of the Dr's is probably spending more time on an individual case; this doesn't seem over- scheduled, just thorough.

Excellent staff, curteous and professional. Dr. Amedeo is the best internest in the area.

I have been seeing Dr Amedeo for three years. He is always up to date on the latest medical info, courteous, and answers my questions to my complete satisfaction. I am lucky to have found him.
