Dr. Ralph Austin, MD

in the last week The staff up front (Secretary, little workers) whatever you want to call them) are terrible people, they treat folks bad, lie to paitents, and I know at least 11 patients that have left a good Doctor (have released them selves as a patient and gone to another) all because of them. I have not had my prescription since August 18th of 2017... I had an appointment on September 12th to see Dr Austin. They called me the same day of my appointment to cancel, so I made another one with them, but it's not till October. Well I need my perception, right? I mean I have had it last and stretched it out as far as I can. So I have the pharmacy send them a request. I called them yesterday to see about it, they said they have been sending it by fax and electronically for 3 days. So I call the office, she said she would let him know and would call me later. Mind you this was at 11:00 am. By 2, I haven't heard anything, so I call again, she said I have him the message, he will call u… before the end of the day. Do I wait till 330 and call again, she said well I haven't talk to him, but he has the message. I said please ask him again to call me, she says "ok sweety"..... At 4still nothing, I call again....she said I'm sorry Mrs. West but he said he has to see you in office before you can get your meds. .... I said i need my meds and you cancelled my appointment this month or I would have seen him by now and have them right? She said you have to see him.... I said I'll just come and pick it up... She said ok sweety... So my husband and I go up there, I walk in and tell her I'm here. She said I'll let him know your here. So we wait, by the way at this till it's 4:20, 4 patients are in the lobby. I figured he would let his nurse know, write it so he can sign it and I'll go.... (knowing I need the meds, knows why I need them and has had a lot of trouble with out them) 5:00 comes 2 patients left and nothing.... The 3rd patient is called and I got up and asked the( MA, nurse whoever she was) at the door, if she could let him know, that I'm here, I only need my perception and that I've been here an hour now)... "Sure I'll let him know...... At 5:30, my husband is losing his mind and gets up to the front, says ma'am does dr. Austin know that my wife is here. She said yes sir he does. So we go sit down, 6 comes still nothing last patient has walked out. She comes through the lobby and went outside comes right back in past us whistling and singing and humming. 6:20 she sticks her head out of her little window with a big old smile on her face and says oh I'm sorry dr. Austin has left for the day. I wanted to pull her through that window at that very second but I had to get myself together so I told her to get my files togethet because I'm going to a different doctor. She smiles, giggles and says "ok I will! I love doctor Austin but those ladies up front are terrible people and I know for a fact that other patients have complained to dr. Austin about them. So what I'm saying is he either didn't know or he knew and left me sitting in his office for 2 hours and left the building. I do not see doctor Austin which I know cares about his patients leaving them sitting in the lobby for 2 hours and leaving the office for the day . So I'm going to call this morning when they open seeing as how it's only 2:30 in the morning now and not sleeping, have to go to work in 5 hours. So I guess I'm going to have to find another Dr also, which I know of two more that have said they are going to leave soon also. All because of his little workers up front... And that was the nicest word I could think of

Dr. Austin is highly knowledgeable and professional. He actually spends time talking and explaining things to his patients in a language we can understand. He is the GREATEST!
