Dr. Ram Akbal Singh, MD

Please avoid if possible! He is an EXTREMELY unconfident doctor. He is not knowledgeable at all. And as others have mentioned, unprofessional does not begin to explain. He does not need to continue to practice medicine! Anytime I'd bring something up, he'd pull out his phone and Google it. Because of his lack of knowledge on something, he'd make YOU feel uncomfortable for bringing up the issue. I don't know how many times I've heard "I'm not comfortable doing that." That's his go to phrase. It's basically an alternative for "I don't know. Please stop talking about this." I have never felt more uncomfortable with a doctor as I did with him. He doesn't give you a sense of safe environment to talk to him openly as your doctor. One example: He literally told me he doesn't want to be my doctor anymore because as my primary physician, I wanted to talk to him about hair loss solutions. After googling stuff for a while on his phone, he literally told me "I'm not comfortable doing this. I don't… want to be your doctor anymore. You need to find another clinic. This isn't a beauty parlor. We do real treatments here." He's literally my primary family physician, who else am I supposed to talk to? When they say "Talk to your doctor about _____," that's who I'm supposed to be able to talk to! I was beyond flabbergasted! Please please avoid!!

Dr. Singh's bedside manner is terrible. He believed that my younger daughter who is 12 kicked my older daughter. (she only tapped her with her foot to tell her to put her shoes on we were leaving). However, he turned and yelled at my 12 year old making her cry and then turned to me and yelled at me saying he would no longer be our doctor. I have never been so flabbergasted. Even if what he thought he saw was true he could have asked my kids to go the waiting room and discussed it with me professionally. He didn't have to yell at her or myself and he certaintly had no cause to dismiss us as patients. I do not recommend him as he is very unprofessional.

I initially was referred to Dr. Singh by my family doctor for gynecology purposes.From that very first visit, I could tell he was a very warm, caring physician. He performed my complete hysterectomy, and I had no problems. He "understands" and that is what is important. I have been seeing Dr. Singh since the 1980's, and I have sent a lot of my family and friends to him.He is truly a wonderful Gynecologist, and he always puts his patient first!
