Dr. Ramchand Bulchand Ranai, MD

Nephrology is incredibly challenging and that is exactly why it appeals to Dr. Ramchand Ranai. In his practice, he approaches medicine by applying his knowledge and understanding of the body’s chemistry and complex systems to the management of kidney disease and its complications.

Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr. Ranai completed his medical training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. After working in private practice in Chicago for two years, he joined KSOSN in 2004 and began developing their chronic kidney disease–CKD management program known as Kidney Support Services, or KSS.

As Director of the KSS Program, Dr. Ranai helped establish protocols for a comprehensive approach to kidney disease management employed by all KSOSN physicians. Dr. Ranai enjoys developing long-term relationships with his patients and their primary care doctors, with continuing collaboration to develop a more successful treatment plan.

Dr. Ranai is board certified in Internal Medicine and …board eligible in Nephrology and Interventional Nephrology. He is certified by RMS Lifeline to perform dialysis access procedures as an interventional nephrologist. His current his faculty appointments include the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas and Touro University in Henderson, Nevada. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of CKD and its management.

Dr. Ranai is married and has two young children.
