Dr. Rameen Mohammad Miarrostami, MD

"Docter Miarrostami is truly great. Not only does he provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatments, but he also takes the time to explain the underlying causes of the condition. His professionalism and expertise are evident in every interaction. The care and attention he provides are top-notch, and his prescriptions are always precise. I'm grateful for his dedication and would high recommend him to anyone .

This is the WORST Medical Doctor I have ever encountered. In my honest opinion, he is NOT very intelligent, is VERY arrogant, wants everything HIS way, keeps HORRIBLE medical records and has a HORRIBLE staff. God forbid you tell him that you do not want vaccines OR want a Vitamin D test. There is a limit on how much you can write in a review here, but I did post a one star review on Yelp if you want to see more of my review. If not, don't say you weren't warned. AGAIN, in my honest opinion and in ALL my years of seeing doctors etc (I am in GREAT shape for 73 year old, on NO medications, but still want a yearly checkup.) YIKES this was a big mistake. {only went to him instead of my regular primary care doc because this wacko is closer and thought I'd save money on Uber NOPE going back to my old doc

He is just what a doctor should be and efficient

I have been going to Dr. Miarrostami for 19 years, since I was 26. The reason why I have stayed with him even after moving to Long Island is his bedside manner. He never is too busy to answer all of my questions and concerns and is a very caring doctor. His knowledge truly is just the bonus!!!! You can't find many doctors with the customer service type of attitude that Dr. Miarrostami has!!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Miarrostami's since 1997. He is an excellent doctor. He really listens to your symtoms and complaints, isn't quick to over prescribe unecessary medications or tests, really excellent. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to him because of his medical staff. In addition to arriving for appointments (which were confirmed by his staff) only to find that he had left for the day, waiting 4 days for someone to call in a refill for a prescription (and getting scolded for following up), I was just greeted by the RUDEST woman on the phone (atr his newest location in Park Slope) who told me that if I wanted to make an appointment, leave a message or get a refill called in, I needed to call back on another day. Glad I wasn't dying, or anything. I'd love to say this was a new dynamic, but they've almost alway been awful (with the odd exception) and I've always dreaded calling the office for any reason. It's unfortunate that he surrounds himself with such… incompetants, because he is an excellent physician.

Dr Miarrostami is the best!

Dr. Miarrostami has been my primary for several years now and he is the best doc I've ever had. He is very professional and has good tact. He's very knowledgeable and an expert in all types of respiratory problems. As you can imagine, this makes him a very popular guy, especially during allergy season (March-May). Make your appointments with time and expect to wait 15-30 minutes after checking in.

Dr. Miarrostami is a wonderful doctor who genuinely cares for his patients. I first started seeing him when I had a very bad flu which affected my breathing. His specialty is Pulmonology and for that he is the tops!! Over the years I have seen him for many different things. Even my husband has switched over to him after complaining about his previous GPs and he's never been happier. I look forward to bringing my daughter to see him once she outgrows her pediatrician.What makes Dr. Miarrostami stand out from all the rest is the fact that he spends time and pays attention to the individual needs of his patients in spite of his busy schedule. I believe this is the most important part of Health Care which is quickly and sadly being lost. Unfortunately, he is not immune to the problems of our broken Health Care system. Therefore, at times his ability to care for the patient is constrained by the health insurance system and the accompanying mountain of paperwork!! Once I had to spend an… entire day on the phone fighting with my insurance company for a particular procedure. Once I researched and found the particular information and loop hole in my coverage, then Dr. Miarrostami's hands were no longer tied and I was able to get the care that I desired and deserved. The doctors don't want to deny you care, but they don't have the time to fight the health insurance companies. Educate and advocate for yourself. Get on the phone and make your health insurance work for you!!

He is a wonderful physician, loving father, and role model.
