Dr. Ramesh Babu Avula, MD

Have been seeing Dr. Avula for over 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Their nurse Linda is no longer with the practice and their new nurse does not listen to patient or seem to care. I will be looking elsewhere because of the nurse. Linda would treat patients with respect and cared about them.

I found the Dr. too be a very poor communicatir. He doesn't listen after he asks a question. He kept mixing me up with another patient. That was very disconcerting. He seemed in a rush and wouldn't take time to answer my questions.

Dr Avula diagnosed me when no one else was able to and got insurance approval for some very expensive medicine. His attention to detail and knowledge of the insurance system won approval the first time requested. His office is relaxed and friendly but thorough.

Although I was in for allergy relief (first time patient), Dr Avula noticed a growth on my eyebrow and sent me to a dermatologist. Turns out it was cancer (Basal cell). I had Mohs surgery within a week - no more cancer! The growth had been there for a few years - my family Doctor never said a thing. Thanks Dr Avula!!

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Avula; he blended his clinical analysis with a nice human touch. I enjoyed his personality. He explained his diagnosis in comprehensible laymans terms and encouraged and answered all my questions. His staff was wonderful.

Dr. Avula is very personable to me...he shares some of the same interests as I do and he never forgets to ask me about my running or travels. I would recommend Dr. Avula without hesitation.

3 visits and every appt was extremely delayed. Never did get a correct diagnosis. He's difficult to understand. Does not consider patients time as important as his own. Walked out of last visit due to extremely long wait. HIS NURSE IS EXTREMELY CARING AND COURTEOUS!
