Dr. Ramesh Babu Kesavan, MD

A great doctor is one who shows compassion and great concern for the people who go to him for their health care. A great doctor also spends enough time to explain what he thinks your problems might be and what he plans to do about it in terms that are easy to understand. A great doctor never rushes in and leaves without answering all your concerns. Dr. Kesavan has treated me for plus years and has always taken the time to sit down face to face and explain the problems found on any test that was done and what he plans to do about it. when you leave, you know that you are in very good hands. I always felt that he really cared about my health issues and would everything he knew to make me better 100% and over the years he has shown me that he is a GREAT DOCTOR and I would give him 10 stars if possible.

I was referred to Dr Kesavan by my PCP due to a lung issue. After having my heart checked by my cardiologist, the issued narrowed down to my lungs as I had IPF (scar tissue which hardens the lungs) making it difficult to obtain oxygen to the heart for distribution to the body. Long story short, Dr Kesavan told me straight out that I should consider a lung transplant as the IPF diagnosis was not good. I was fortunate to receive a new lung within a few months at Houston Methodist (HM). Following the transplant, I learned that Dr Kesavan had previously served on the HM pulmonary transplant team prior to going into private practice. I view Dr Kesavan as one who saved and extended my life. Need I say more...

I was blessed enough to have Dr Kesavan see me in the hospital. He diagnosed me with pneumonia. He is a very thorough Doctor that explains everything until you understand what is happening. I will definitely go to Dr Kesavan in the future if I need a pulmonary Doctor. And I just recommended him to a friend. There aren't enough Drs around like Dr Kesavan. He is so knowledgeable, he doesn't rush you when you are talking with you, he is so thorough with all the bases he covers and every angle he looks at what could be going on-- and he truly cares!!! Thank you, Sir!!!
