Dr. Rami I Calis, MD

My surgeon referred me to this doctor to have my nail removed. Dr. Calis stated that I had fungus not an infection. The toe nail split in two places and got infected. Now I have to have a partical removal of Left great toe. If he had removed the nail it wouldn't have gotten infected. He is the only podiatry doctor at Emory. He is running through patients and not providing complete care. I know he is interviewing a doctor, but, they need more than 1 doctor. He doesn't know what he's doing..

Very pleased with this Doctor. He is very personable. Does not rush you. Listens carefully. Not prone to rush to the highest level of care. Willing to start out with the lesser invasive procedures first.

There's so much to like about Dr. Calis, like his manner, candor, up-to-date knowledge and sense of humor. One of the most notable things is his willingness to sit and really listen. My case wasn't straightforward, but him paying careful attention helped to resolve it!

Went to this physical for second opinion and he knew immediately that my foot was still fractured. Even thou I had been release from previous Dr. X-Rays said it all, and my last MRI still showed evidenced it was still fractured.

I would highly recommend Dr.Calis for anyone experiencing foot pain. He is very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He has treated me for chronic pain in my feet. In the past I had surgery to relieve pain, but he has been able to treat ulcers and prevent future sores.

Dr Calis was the 3rd doctor I saw for why after 2 months my ingrown toenail surgery site had not healed. He thoroughly explained the possibilities and then carefully cleaned the site. During cleaning, he discovered that there was remaining toenail that was causing the site not to heal. I'm very glad that I went to see him and am well on the road to recovery.
