Dr. Ramon Quesada, MD

Recently had heart surgery performed by Dr Quesada. Results were not good. Feel worse than before the operation. Am going to get another Opinion from a different Cardiology group.

uncaring and in medicine for the money

Quesada is a bad and obsolete cardiologist. He almost put me a stent that wasn't necessary (according to the stress test), created a fistula in my wrist damaging my radial nerve, and prescribed a calcium channel blocker that, given my genetic variation in fibrillin 2, dilated my ascending aorta. He is very ignorant, receives fess from labs and cares only about money. He is a physician from a low level Central America University. It is a shame that he is at Baptist Hospital.

I visited this doctor for 5 years. One day I realized that he is the worst doctor I ever had, and changed doctor. He performed a cardiac catheterization that was not needed because my stress test was fine, most probably to charge the fees of the catheterization (no stent was put because it was not needed). Due to negligence he created, when pulling out the catheter, an arteriovenus fistula in my wrist. I had it fixed at the UMH at my own cost. He prescribed me a calcium channel blocker that could create, according to my condition, an aortic aneurysm. There is research on that but it seems he is not aware of it. I dislike also that, searching the internet, I found he gets fees from the laboratories ($40,000 to $60,000/year). I find him very arrogant and not interested in his patients. For me this doctor is not to be trusted.

The best thing about this Dr is the doctor himself. His office staff is terrible!!!!. They make you wait on the phone forever for an appointment two months later. My appt has been cancelled twice in the past three months cause the Dr is out of town, but no one notifies me!! I find out when I show up to the apptm. and the office is empty. No one bothers to call to confirm apptm's and no one calls to reschedule you. They assume yo are sitting at home and have no responsibility at work, etc. If it weren't for the fact that I think Dr Quesada is amazing, I will never go back there again!!!!!

After waiting for almost two hours, Dr. Quesada sees my mom for less than 2 minutes. He has not asked mom about her complains, I found Dr. Quesada an arrogant doctor who has no regards for patient's wait time, age, or complains. Even-though he has knowledge, I will not visit him again,

Dr. Quesada,was able to open blockages of 100%, 95% and 70% in my Rt. Coranary artery with the wrist and femoral artery techniques. The wrist site has only the puncture mark and no other bleeding around it. AMAZING! The femoral had minimal bleeding and is still somewhat sore after 5 days. Feeling Great!
