Dr. Ramotse Saunders, MD

Dr. Saunders is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine, with special expertise and interest in co-occurring medical and psychiatric illness. He has over 15 years’ experience treating patients with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety. Upon reading the eminent psychiatrist Dr. C.G. Jung’s autobiography, Dr. Saunders became fascinated by the vast potential of the mind and the ways in which talk therapy and medical treatments can expand our understanding of human behavior and improve our quality of life. He was inspired to pursue a medical career where his teaching, advocacy, and research informed his work with individual patients and in turn helped contributed to the body of research. Dr. Saunders is a caring practitioner who believes that treatment should be grounded in a trusting patient-clinician relationship, and that therapies should be evidence-based and neuroscientifically informed.
