Okay so when I went in Dr Awad asked what surgery I wanted I said the gastric bypass and he said no that he would do the gastric sleeve SERIOUSLY then why ask so at first everything was fine until shortly after I was diagnosed with metabolic syndrome and now I'm pretty much screwed and at this point the sleeve was pointless but had he given me what I asked for (4 different doctors confirmed this) I wouldn't be in the crappy situation I am now. Dr Awad next time please listen to your patients. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE. I STILL TO THIS DAY REGRET NOT GETTING THE BYPASS :((

Starting with the staff simply the best. Dr. Awad is amazing, takes the time to explain and courteous as no other.

Had 2pm appt which I arrived on time for a post surgery appt. With waiting and patient room time took an hr until the Doctor arrived with only 30 seconds with him. Wish I had an explanation of the wait. Doctor did not even look at my surgery. Other appts also have been a long wait.

Beware, found out years later my left kidney failed and is gone due to ureter damage during surgery and multiple surgical clips and suture material left in my colon at the operation site. A Severe huge hernia from large abscess eroded my abdominal wall from no drain tubes placed during surgery no muscle wall left. New fistula from colon to belly button from the surgical site. I am facing major surgical procedures now with a great possibility of more complications.

Dr. Awad perform my gastric bypass five months ago. I have lost 90 pounds so far and feel amazing. I had very minimal pain after surgery and spent one day in the hospital. Last year my colon perforated and I required emergency surgery. Thank goodness Dr. Awad was there to perform the surgery. He literally saved my life! I had to have a bag for 6 months and he was able to perform the reversal surgery. He is an exceptional surgeon and doctor. His calm, quiet demeanor coupled with his high level of skill was just what we required. His office staff are wonderful too! Thanks for being there for me.

Excellent Surgeon who is on the cutting edge of surgery. He performed my Gastric bypass. I was in the hospital overnight and with no pain. I am now 120lbs down and my health is much better. He is very caring, intellegent and really takes pride in his work
