Dr. Randal M. Camarillo

well went in for acl reconstruction he did it. 3 months later it was re torn. He did not want to do the other surgery for my other leg with the same issue. He was going to let my insurance run out before deciding to fix my issues. So I had to go find another doctor to work on my legs and get me fixed so I could return to work. Treated me like I was a addict.. I was only trying to get help and Dr Camarillo was not trying to help at all.

I saw Dr. Camarillo for an arm injury. I was brought back for x-rays within 2 minutes of signing in. The employees were great and the Dr. was really focused . He's friendly, has a good personality and bedside manner.

My first visit, the doctor put me in an Aircast Boot. Luis, his assistant, fitted me and had me sign a paper stating that I received the boot. Next visit, he put me in an ankle brace and Luis fitted me and had me sign a similar paper again. I was not told I would be charged separately for this, nor was I told the prices of the full amount that I could be charged if insurance would not pay. • Air Boot - DJO charged me $320 and insurance picked up $145, leaving me with $175 balance. Similar product sells on Amazon for $60. • Ankle Brace - DJO charged me $92 and insurance picked up $25, leaving me with $67 balance. Similar product sells at Walmart for $12. I have gone to a podiatrist and received a shoe at no charge, so I was not expecting additional charges for this. Two months later I received two bills from DJO for these charges. I tried sorting this out with DJO and Dr. Camarillo’s office staff. Each party points the finger at the other at whose fault it was to inform me… of the prices or not inform me of prices. There is a clause on the paper I signed stating that I would pay anything that insurance would not cover. He told me it was for receiving the items. The clause about paying is in the middle. I had to get a pdf copy and read the statement at 125% resolution – it is in the middle of the paragraph. I expressed that I would pay reasonable market prices for these items, but I would not be price gouged by them. I believe that I have a right to know the prices I am charged before I am charged. I need to make an informed decision. I believe that Dr. Camarillo’s office engaged in deceit, maybe even fraud. I am not sure if I can take them or DJO to small claims court to settle this matter, but I am very upset that I am caught in the middle.

I went to visit Dr. Camarillo because I took a bad fall, caught my self on the kitchen table, hitting my ribs on the left side. On my second visit with Dr. to get a refill on Tylonol 3, he told me if it wasn't better in 2 weeks to come back for a catscan because I may have lung cancer. I got upset and he left the room immediately, leaving me confussed, going "hey wait a minute, I fell down". Bad, who does that. Being a breast cancer survivor I visited my oncologist and he said I did not have lung cancer. Shame on you Dr. Camarillo.

Dr. Camarillo is a great doctor. Very friendly, helpful and explains everything. He truly cares about his patients! Called and follow up after I had a complication. Its easy to get an appointment to see him and there is not a long wait for your appointment time.

Dr. Camarillo never made me feel like he was in a rush. He took the time to answer all of my questions and was very kind and caring. His office staff was also very kind and professional.

My visit was roughly an hour. Dr. Camarillo listened to my concerns and took care to give a proper diagnosis.
