Dr. Randall James Burt, MD

It pains me to write a negative review like this, as I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, the way I was treated by this medical practice was very unprofessional. I went for an in-office visit, where they performed an ultrasound. Several weeks later, I was called by the surgery scheduler to have a surgery scheduled. I had had no discussion with anyone at the practice about the need for a procedure, the indication or any justification. I was afraid I might have a cancer! When I asked for clarification, the office staff blamed me for not having voicemail set up. Every time I called the office, I was put through an interminable phone maze and eventually asked to leave a message which was never returned. I had to physically go to the office to ask for clarification. The office staff told me they would have someone contact me. When I asked for my medical records, I was told my information had already been uploaded. I had to physically show them that my… information had not been uploaded to their patient portal. Only after that, did they upload the information. I asked to have an appointment just to discuss the need for a procedure and what type of procedure was being contemplated. They assured me that the physician or his nurse practitioner would be in contact with me to discuss these issues. Over a week passed without that communication. Then the surgery scheduler called again to schedule a procedure. When my husband, who is in medicine spoke to the scheduler, he asked for what type of procedure was being considered and the indication. He was on hold for almost 30 minutes while they were trying to sort it out. They then told him that the physician or the nurse practitioner would call back by the close of business. That did not happen. The next business day, they sent me a letter informing me that I had been fired as a patient. TL;DR - This physician and/or his practice were extremely uncommunicative, seemed more interested in scheduling a procedure than communicating with said patient. They made me feel more like a revenue stream rather than a patient. To this day, they still haven't answered basic questions and fired me as soon as I started asking those questions. I still don't know why they wanted to perform a procedure, and I'll have to start over with another physician. I'm anxious, wondering if I have something serious like a cancer or something routine. This all could have been avoided if they had simply communicated and treated me like a human being.

Dr. Burtt has been my doctor for 14 years! He is knowledgeable, patient and listens to the patient. To top it all he is an amazing human being.

Dr. Burt delivered two of my three children and has performed other gynecology procedures on me. I can’t be more happy with him. In fact, I had referred him to all my closest friends and family that needed his services and they are all satisfied and happy.

The doctor and his staff are at sea when it comes to dealing with any post-delivery issues. His competence is very limited and I would not trust him for anything out of the ordinary that may come up (in my case it was related to infections post-delivery). His staff is really bad at calling back to follow-up, and he is not prompt. This bedside manner is inconsistent, and the doctor can be moody and rude at times.

Excellent doctor. He's just the best. He is honest, and always shoots straight with me. Dr. Burt is what we need in a doctor.

I am a nurse at the hospital, where nearly ALL of the staff sees Dr. Burt. His patients love him, and so do we. The medical community needs many more physicians like him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Burt's now for 7 years. He sees ALL of my teachers at my school. WE ALL LOVE DR. BURT! He helped me get pregnant, saw me through a difficult pregnancy, and now has been at my side, as a new mom, for 3 years. HE'S THE BEST!

would not choose this doctor again!!!!

I love Dr. Burt and his staff but his nurse was always unfriendly and acted "put out" about EVERYTHING! I just went in for my annual and was just thrilled to find out he has a new nurse that is fantastic. So happy!
