Dr. Randell K Wexler, MD

I had an extremely bad experience with Dr. Wexler's staff. I am surprised to see customer service at this low of a level at any Medical facility. I will not be going back.

Smart, caring, smart, competent, smart, listens, smart, DOES NOT TALK DOWN TO ME (I'm pretty smart, though), always follows through, always prompt, takes time with you, coordinates expertly with other doctors and care providers. EXCELLENT primary care practitioner.

Dr. Wexler does not appreciate patients that question his decisions or actions. His ego gets in the way of good pt relations. He doesn't give a nurse credit for her expertise and comes across stubborn and obstinate if questioned. Would not reccommend this MD to medical professionals.

I had a horrible experience at Dr. Wexler's office and I would recommend everyone avoid him at all costs. New patients have to wait months to get an appointment which is a challenge in itself. His office staff is very rude and it was like pulling teeth to get them to tell me when an available time was that I could get in. They wanted me to keep guessing so they could tell me "no." When I suggested they tell me when a good time for them would be, I was put on hold for 3 minutes. They also want you to come a half hour early to fill out 2 pages of paperwork which takes about 5 minutes and largely consists of information they already have. Of course they don't tell you that you need to come early. You should just know. The whole experience was terrible and I couldn't believe how rude everyone was. His bad reviews are well-deserved in my opinion.

I am very impressed with Dr. Wexler's credentials. But more importantly is his great bedside manner. He always makes time for me and wants to know how I am going overall, not just why I am in for a visit. I am very picky about Doctors, and I am very happy I found Dr. Wexler in Columbus.

Dr Wexler has absolutely no compassion for his fellow human being. I have been his patient for 6 years now, and after this last visit, i am finding a new doctor. His ability to listen to his patient symptoms, and explain the results to them is very limited. I was told 4 months ago that I had Gull Stones, well O.K., what now i got gull stones, shouldn't they be removed???. Even the simplest of questions seem like I am pulling teeth to get a logical answer form him. They were good when he was downtown, but when he moved to Gahanna, he lost all that was good. The office itself, I have never been able to schedule an appointment any earlier than 3 weeks from the time that I call, Now in 3 weeks, will i still be sick???? Whatever you do do not miss an appointment, Wexler will counsel you as to why you are "wasting his time" as he put it to me. I went in today to follow up on several medical problems that I am having, and in an attempt of my companies insurance company, we had to make an… appointment to get a 1 page piece of paper filled out for a "well man check up" and since i did not have an appointment specifically slated for a physical, he refused to do it, and said i would have to make another appointment. Oh and then i have to do another apointment for some lab work, all of which they collect their $15 co-pay, and now that they cant do the physical thing the day i was in there, I have now expired my companies allowed time to fill out the form, and now my insurance will increase because all these people want is another $15 from you. I would never reccomend my worst enemy to go to this place or this doctor.
