Dr. Randy Carl Gardell, MD

I find Dr. Gardell to be an awesome doctor that treats his patients with respect. In his treatment of me, the MRI he had done, showed not only Bursitis in my right shoulder, but also a Tear in my Tendon. That tear is what's been causing me the severe pain and causing me an inability to do quite a number of ordinary everyday tasks I can no longer do. Now he is referring me to an Orthopedic for his evaluation. Thank you, Dr. Gardell, for everything.

I have no complaints about the office staff but I have to say that I don’t think Dr Gardell runs his practice with care for his patients. I have epilepsy and have been struggling recently with strange seizures and cluster seizures. I have only been able to see the nurse practitioner and she has not been able to answer my questions and actually gets annoyed with my questions. I need to know what is happening to me and I am paying a lot of money for a specialist. So I set an appointment with another neurologist for a second opinion. Due to my frequent seizures, I am unable drive and since I have been under the care of Dr Gardell’s office, I asked Dr Gardell’s office to fill out FMLA paperwork for my husband’s insurance verifying that I have epilepsy and that I cannot drive. Dr Gardell’s office told me that they were not going to fill out any paperwork because I had an appointment with another doctor. It is my right to seek a second opinion and it is highly unethical to punish patients… for getting a second opinion. I will not be going back. Dr Gardell might not care about me past my insurance but my name is not Blue Cross Blue Shield. I have a very serious condition and in neurology, I am not the only one with a serious condition. We all have serious conditions here. I’m appalled by how Dr Gardell runs his practice.

I was referred to Dr gardell by my PCP..I saw him on first visit and when I went to check out and schedule testing at his office I was told I owed $49 from 2013...I was told if they had caught this before I saw him they would not have let me see him.. They told me I could not come back for testing or to see him until this was paid... I told me them I lived on fixed income and could not afford to pay by it.. So they cancelled my testing and follow up visit without letting me make payments every month or simply writing off the bill as It was 10 years ago... looks bad for Dr gardell to be known as a Dr that cares more about money that treating a patient that needs his help..

I have been seeing Dr. Gardell for years and have never been disappointed in him or his staff. They are the best in Waco!!!

He is one of those whip in and out the rooms without getting all the information and symptoms to get a diagnosis. The guy is completely unprofessional. He must have family and friends fill out his online reviews because we seen him twice and he did the same thing both times. Do your future patients a favor and find a new career or retire. Do your friend or family member a favor and find them a different dr unless you want to waste time seeing him!!

I have been seeing Dr Gardell as an outpatient for several years and found him to be caring. I have multiple problems and he has been most helpful. If any of my family had a need for a Neurologist I would refer them to Dr Randy Gardell!

I met Dr. Gardell while in the hospital, and felt very comfortable with his choices of exams to be able to accurately diagnose my problem. He was friendly and gave me time to ask questions. I later went to his office, and the staff was friendly and very helpful since they needed some extra paperwork that I was not aware of, but they did all the work to get it. I again, enjoyed Dr. Gardell and we discussed Soccer as he had pictures of teams he has coached or sponsored. I would recommend him to a friend that required his services!!

Dr Gardell does not listen to his patients fully. We have told him the difficulties we have had with seizure like activity and migraines and all he did was prescribe meds but did not document the correct statements that he was told on what my husband was going thru. He rushes in and rushes out and hardly says a word. Poor communication and social skills.

Dr. Gardell is a godsend.

when our insurance changed Dr. Gardell wasn't on it yet because he was so good we stayed with him. We would highly recommend him to anyone.
