Since Kaiser has signed an agreement with the D.E.A. To cut their narcotics use by 80% (look it up) they do not give pain medication, even in the Emergency Room!! Their attitude is that if you need pain medication you are a " drug seeker and an addict" Regardless of your pain he and all his colleagues will send you home to "buck up and just learn to live with chronic debilitating pain! I was diagnosed by Stanford as having an incurable disease that causes extreme pain. They had me on a regime that allowed me to work and take care of my family. All that ended when we moved and I was forced to go to Kaiser. He thought he was smarter than all my doctors at Stanford and that I could get by with some Tylenol or Advil. Thank God I finally got better insurance and a better doctor! Good luck to all of you stuck at Kaiser!
