Dr. Rasik Manji Jivani, MD

I went for a physical. Mr. Jivani was visibly highly offended when he asked if I smoked "weed" (not cannabis, not marijuana, calls it weed. There's the first red flag that he knows nothing about cannabis) and I said yes. The physical amounted to listening to my heart, blood pressure reading, and a terribly written prescription for blood work. No other examinations were performed. He also has a strong accent(doesn't bother me) but It takes me a couple seconds sometimes to decipher certain sentences. When he said something I couldn't understand at first, he got upset, raised his voice and asked "are you hard at hearing? Can you not hear well what is wrong?!." I matched his energy "I CANT UNDERSTAND YOU FULLY. FORGIVE ME!" and he backed down instantly. The prescription he wrote was horrendous. How did jivani acquire a PhD if his hand writing is that of a 2 year old? I was very polite at first, but he wanted to be offended that I smoke and can't understand him fully sometimes. He needs to… keep his personal beliefs at home. No one wants an attitude from a doctor because they smoke a plant. I have things that I can be angry about and take out on other people, but I don't. So, because smoking is part of my culture now, next time I see him, he's getting an attitude about not smoking cannabis. How dare he go against my personal beliefs(that's sarcasm if you can't tell.) Ive been to countless doctors, none gave me a problem about cannabis. Don't let this guy look down on you, he has little character and in no position to look down at you. Just another guy who went into the medical field for the money. It must be nice being if full health and casting judgement on others from your cozy little office. Blood work scheduling is a pain because I can't read ANYTHING Jivani wrote down on the prescription so forget specifics. Another name added to my list of pathetically underperforming doctors.

Very disappointed with the doctor and his office staff they canceled a very important appointment for my son without notice and blame it on the hospital, never to follow up with patient. I believe primary care physician should put its patient first and do the follow ups, Dr. Javani and his staff wasted essential time.

Dr. Jivani takes time to listen to his patients. He genuinely cares about the health of his patients. His practice is not about how many patients can he see in a day but rather the quality of appoint/exam.

This dr is a joke. The physicals he gives aren't even real physicals. He marks off things are good when he didn't even check them to begin with. Eye test its a random poster on the wall can u read these letters? no hernias etc how does he even no when it was never checked.. scoliosis nope never checked that either but according to my paper I was negative... the list goes on and on.. Then when u go for a sick visit and things get worse I asked him to call me left my name and number never a call back.. he sent me once to the hospital for dehydration etc.. found out after I was there I didn't really need to be there and I was left with a HUGE hospital bill... I would NOT recommend this so called dr..

Great guy. Explained his diagnosis in a comprehensive and clear manner.
