When you select a doctor for surgery you are putting your life, care and your future even in their hands. My brother was a patient of Dr. Marquez. Brother had a tear in the meniscus; a surgery yes BUT a minor surgery. 3 months after surgery my brother died. The best doctors LISTEN to their patients. Secondary, the best doctors follow-up LISTENING to issues patient expresses. THAT was not done. My brother's knee would swell excessively and rather than "SEE" him, he was told to put heat followed up by ice. If you developed an effection from surgery, adding heat FUELS an infection. For 3 months the infection was fueled other than on 2 occasions rather than providing antibiotics and monitoring the obvious medical problem. In 1 instance, my brother called the doctors office and they finally called him in to drain the excessive fluid. It should have been a HUGE RED FLAG when not once but twice he had to go in for the same issue in less than 3 months. 3 months to the day they finally… called him in and realized he had been battling a staph infection since his surgery. 3 months!! On that day he went in and was admitted and told by the doctors office they were putting in an iv port and he would need to come in every day for 30 days for an antibiotic iv. He was in tremendous pain. The night he died we talked on the phone and he wsa telling he was in a lot of pain and kept calling the nurse for help because he needed to get to the bathroom and no one would answer. After such a long time he finally said he couldn't wait any longer and said he'd call me back. He got up and died there on the floor. I don't know how long he lay on that floor when a nurse finally came in but even trying to recessitate him was not even in the picture. He was gone. They transported him to Edinburg Hospital still trying to recessitate him but still too much time left neglected. I want to be clear about something. My brother WAS cleared for sugery. He developed the staph infection as a result of NO after care after surgery for 3 months. When you have an infection and you are told to treat it with heat you are feeding the infection. My brother died from a heart attack. The doctor shrugged it off to that not facing the errors of the doctors mistake as well as his entire staff. Because they represent the doctor reputation and care for my brother. So the doctor hid behind heart attack saying he was not at fault. He held my brother's life in his hands. My brother who had a loving wife, daughters and family. There is nothing that will ever my brother back so he can continue his life's adventure with his wife and daughters. It has been 3 years now that he has been gone. My brother was an amazing, loving, kind teacher. Loved and respected by every one. We were robbed of this wonderful man who was the most amazing teacher always there for everyone. Every year I want this doctor to remember my brother was not his insurance income but a live, breathing human being. Some doctors forget the reason to be in the profession of "saving lives" and providing the quality care everyone deserves. The doctor celebrates his birthday, father's day and every holiday of the year with his family. I can't say the same for the emptiness left for us all; for his wife and daughters, brothers and sisters. He was a brilliant mind and my youngest brother. My love and my prayers for my sister-in-law and my nieces. I make my feelings heard even if it won't bring my brother back. But out of this, I hope the doctor feels the deep remorse of what we lost and will remember the job is not over after the last stitch. The hardest part of any surgery is the after care each patient deserves. That is the assurance by the doctor that he did his job and it was done to the highest standard. 3 months my brother suffered after a tear in the meniscus. 3 months to day when they realized he had been battling a staph infection after surgery. The whole staff at Dr Marquez was amazing. They were very attentive and they also explained the process very clearly. I would recommend Dr Márquez and his staff wholeheartedly.

Doctor Marquez and his staff are extremely professional and helpful. Doctor Marquez has the best bedside manners. He is super caring and his PA David is outstanding as well. They truly provide the best medical care for their patients.

Great service and very knowledgeable

This is the worst place to go for any orthopedic needs. They take forever to work on necessary paperwork needed for any procedure. No communication, no compassion from the staff!! It's been months a d we have waited long enough.. they don't care for anyone even knowing that your in pain on a daily basis.hiw sad that thus Dr runs such a Horrible office.stay away or you will regret all time lost like us.!!!!
