Dr. Raul Kem Weston, MD

My mother suffers from extreme back pain to the point of being unable to walk and throws up from pain. She had spinal surgery in the past and began to have horrific pain again, so she went to her surgeon who wouldn't even see her and instead sent her to Dr. Weston. He never spoke one word to her the entire time. He walked in the room as she is laid on a table in extreme pain, injects her back and she screamed out, said it was the worst pain she has ever felt in even worse than labor, and he still said nothing. Then walked out. This is inexcusable behavior by a practitioner and I refuse to let anyone see this doctor without knowing what kind of bedside manners her projects. She threw up all the way home and still has horrific pain. and no one will help her.

I have several injuries all over my body and injections have helped me in the past. My appt was with Dr Weston for Cubital tunnel injections bc I have permanent nerve damage in my ulnar nerve but Dr Weston went against my previous pain doctor and against my Cubital tunnel surgeon and said that since I have nerve studies done after the surgery that show no impingement he won’t inject there. His logic is that if he can’t see what is wrong he won’t inject (his words). Basically he is saying that the surgery fixed my Cubital tunnel so he won’t inject there but this logic doesn’t hold water. If he followed this logic for other injuries and areas like my spine he would have to decline injections in my cervical and lumbar spine bc I have had the surgeries there so according to his logic I should have no pain yet he is more than willing to inject my spine. This makes zero since. He decided to not inject the ulnar nerves but he was willing to inject my tennis elbow even though he can’t see… anything wrong. Hmmm...btw when he injected me he hammered down on the plunger and inflamed the area for a few days and made it hurt worse. I have had injections several times in the past and all my other doctors injected me slowly so the fluid wasn’t shot out with high pressure inflaming the area. I decided to give him a second chance today but his staff failed me too. His nurse tried to make me keep my medial branch block appt for tomorrow even when I don’t have that pain right now and I cannot induce the pain at will. I told her this probably 10 times during our conversation and it was literally turning into an argument so I had to politely recuse myself and cancel all further appointments. I highly recommend looking into a different pain doctor for injections.

Dr. Weston was very honest with me about my pain. He took the time to discuss my issues in very good detail. I felt like he genuinely cared about me and my pain. I needed an injection in my back. I have had these done before, but Dr. Weston's injected was very successful, and far less painful than others I have had. He was very busy, and I had to wait a few days before I could get the injection. Definitely worth the wait to see him.

Dr Weston and his staff are top notch. Over the years I have been conditioned to be disappointed by the medical community with my health problems. Dr Weston AND his entire staff are excellent. I believe they are a model of what medical treatment should be. COMPASSIONATE HIGH QUALITY TREATMENT ! I can't recommend them enough. The BEST !
