Dr. Ray Worthy is one of the most best doctors I have. Due to my illness I have to see many doctors. Also facing a disease that literally eating my bones away, Dr Worthy gave me hope but giving more than just mental stability. He gave me my life back!

Dr. Worthy the down to earth, sincere psychiatrist that really understands the human mind. Never puts himself above his patients, nor weeks to be the omnipotent Dr. Seeking to submit patients with authority. His authority is gained through trust and his confidense

This young doctor is the biggest snob you will run into in NOLA. He thinks he's better than you and lets you know it quick. Avoid at all cost.

Best psyc dr I have ever had the privilege of working with....he is very dedicated and ver compassionate. He works extremely hard and is the only dr I know who can work fro 7am to 1 am to help his patients

Best and most helpful dr ive ever had the experience of getting to knoe.....ive seen more psychaitrists and psychologists in tne NO are over the past 15 years, and i am very grateful to find a dr likr ray worthy....,although i have issues still, but dr worthy has helped me more with talking, meds andbeing their when i need him.....he is highly educated with an MD and a PHD .....he works with river oaks full time and stimm makes time to see patients privately.....A+++++ AND highly trcommended

The best psych dr I've been to in the last 20 years of suffering with depression

I was sexually assaulted at River Oaks Hospital twice with in half an hour by the same person. No one bothered to ask me what happened. The staff member who thought she saw something told that I assaulted this other person. It was not true. The other person was a deaf black woman named Kim. She wanted me to see if someone was in her bathroom. I went into her room, turned on the light, Kim had her back to the bathroom door, I went to knock on the door and Kim reached over turned off the light and grabbed me and started to kiss and feel me. I backed up signed no to her and left. The staff member told everyone that I was kissing on Kim. No one came to me and asked what happened and by morning the whole hospital thought I was the aggressor. Even the charge nurse Deanna was nasty to me by saying, we know why you come here yes we know. Her first words should have been what happened but no, I was tried and convicted of being guilty before anyone new the truth. When Dr. Worthy came in he… would not even talk to me about what happened. He just sat at the end of the table in the day area and proceeded to talk about his family life. I asked him three times if we could talk and all three times he said no. He was going by what he was told by someone who did not know what happened. The lady that does Medicare insurance came in and told me she took my life time days and I could not come to River Oaks any more, and smiled real big. I was officially signed out before the truth was ever known and Kim got to stay. I found out when I got home that Medicare would have paid the bill without using my life time days. Dr. Ray Worthy does not go the extra mile to find out the truth about situations he believes that psych patients are always in the wrong and does not care to find out the truth. By the way my therapist was kicked out of her office next to River Oaks because she was seeing me and now that is Dr. Ray Worthy's office, and of all thing he is treating trauma patients. Bad idea for him. If he cannot find out what happened to me and be fair how is he going to help trauma victims, he will not believe what they say. Do not see this man, he only believe what someone other than his patient, someone who is not being seen for psychiatric reasons. The only thing he is good at is not prescribing ten tons of medication.
