Dr. Raymond Allen Hackett, MD

My husband came to him with dire health concerns as a first time patient. Dr. Raymond Hackett is blatantly rude, insulting, obnoxious, condescending, self gratifying and belligerent. He himself also claimed to have been known to miss vital information regarding patients charts and clearly behaves inappropriately with the staff in front of patients. He's very unprofessional, very unhelpful, acts like he knows it all and definately lacks the bedside manner taught to be upheld in medical school. For any first time patent, or even reoccurring patients to this doctor I highly suggest searching for a doctor who will live up to the required standards and see to your medical needs. Dr. Raymond Hackett needs to stop practicing due to behaving in such a manner. He represents his feild very poorly and thinks not of his patients but of himself and is more concerned about lining his pockets with the money paid by the insurance companies. It's a shame that one of such high quality education… behaves in such a low class way towards his patients. Patients are people. Not numbers, statistics or dollar signs and its sad Dr. Raymond Hackett doesn't think of them in this way. Nor does he care. He's living proof that all because it's licensed doesn't mean its right or absolute. A true medical joke and a very poor excuse for a doctor. But the office pushes and forces the practice of Covid awareness safety for his sake. I guess that's all that matters though as far as their concerned. It's sad. Really sad.

Very impressed with skills and empathy

I saw Dr.Hackett last year when I was so sick with a kidney abscess I could barely function. After he had me do a CT scan,he became very concerned that I had a kidney mass. He kept me out of pain,gave me his number and told me to call him if I needed to. Him and the student he had with him praying with me. Him and his office got me into the Markey Cancer Center very,very quickly. They even helped me arrange it with rtec so I could go as soon as possible. By the time the abscess burst I was already seeing an oncologist at the center. He signed me into Baptist Regional and treated me til they sent me to UK. Thank you so much sir,you have no idea how you helped me at my sickest and lowest I've ever been.

bladder cancer . started bleeding very badly and dr. left a day late on vac. to operate on me.

I had about the same thing happened to me as the other 2 patience who give their review. I thought it was just me. But he is a lot better than Dr. Charles Woolums, MD . I will not even if I am on my death bed go to see him again.

The first time a saw Dr. Hackett I did like his idea of treatments. He wanted to try one method at a time and see if it worked. He tries the least invasive methods first, which is good. However his attitude, arrogance, and rudeness trumps all of that! The first visit, he wanted me to try a diet. Well like anyone I had questions about it but he rudely interrupted me and said he wants to get home to his wife. It did upset me but I thought well maybe he's just had a rough day. My second visit with him, he did not even come in the room! He opened the door and asked me what was wrong with the door wide open where everyone could hear the conversation between my doctor and myself which should be private! He just stood in the doorway so that told me that he does not have time for me and does not want to listen to me! When I told him the reason I was leaving and may find a new doctor he said, "fine by me." I do not recommend him!

Was advised to go this doctor from my uncle who is also a doctor but it honestly was the worst mistake I ever made. He is rude, arrogant, and doesn't listen to his patients. He never remembered what we covered in our last appointment and argued with me that he never performed an operational procedure, in which he did. He also argued with me as to why I was on a certain medication when he was the one who prescribed it to me. He treated me as if I was an uneducated, Appalachian woman who had no understanding of my own body. I am, in fact, a double major in biology and public health and a Physician Assistant student. Honestly the only beneficial thing that happened to me was that he referred me to a doctor at the University of the Kentucky that has been a million times more helpful, professional, and compassionate than he will ever be.
