Dr. Raymond Yeou Hsu, MD

Dr Hsu is incredibly smart and kind!!! He actually shows you that he cares. I am very grateful for his knowledge and kindness. I had an ankle replacement and can actually walk now. I would highly recommend Dr Hsu!!! Most doctors make you feel like a number but not Dr Hsu. He walks into the room with kindness, empathy and knowledge. He also gives you the time you need. I never feel rushed out and I appreciate being heard. He answers all of your questions and explains everything so you can understand. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR HSU

He explained options and answered all our questions. Very personable, so made you very relaxed. Would absolutely recommend him.

Dr Hsu was very instightful with his knowledge and expertise in the area, however his beside manners could be less dismissive. There were brief moments where his answers felt like they were coming from a place of arrogance than from a place of well intention and care. While his care plans were very pragmatic, it left little room to feel comforted in the sense that the patient had a say in which they’d like their care to be taken. However, it did feel odd and mildly stereotypical that surgery was the premier choice for treatment, while dismissing other noninvasive methods. Overall, if you know what you seek is surgery and are certain that is your only care plan, then Dr Hsu is your choice. However, if you like more time to discuss and mull over other noninvasive options, then he unfortunately lacks sufficient bedside patience to address those options in a more caring way. But if you like it cut and dry, well you may find that as a plus.

Dr Hsu knows his stuff. I’m 76 with significant skeletal issues, obviously including ankles. No simple solutions. We talk options, risks, possibilities. But only after careful study and examination. It’s remodeling work. We plan, but until we start, there are unknowns. Collaborative decision. I trust him and recommend him

Dr Tsu operated on one of my fractured ankles a few months ago. He explained my fracture and helped me to understand what the surgery would entail. My healing has been slow, but essentially on the timetable he gave me from the start. He is approachable and has never seemed to be in a rush to get through my appointments. I am confident that my ankles are in very good hands.

My visit today was great as always. Dr. Hsu is very Patient , he doesn’t rush into surgery he allowed me to recovery as much as I could before doing the surgery. I thank him for his patience and advice. I highly recommended Dr Hsu.

Dr. Hsu offered exceptional patient care, connecting with me first as a human and then as a patient. He is incredibly detail oriented and took time to carefully listen to me about the mechanism of injury before explaining my diagnosis and prognosis. He’s an incredibly kind and patient communicator, and I highly recommend him.

I Trusted Him, and Now I’m Worse Off Dr. Hsu operated on my left foot in late 2024, and the outcome has been devastating. My toe is now positioned in a way that causes constant discomfort and has severely limited my mobility. What was sold to me as a routine, quality-of-life surgery has instead made walking painful and wearing normal shoes nearly impossible. During recovery, I raised concerns about swelling — not expecting miracles, just hoping for answers — and was met with sarcasm and dismissiveness. It felt insulting. My follow-ups were cold and robotic, with no sign that he actually cared how I was doing. It was clear I wasn’t going to get honesty, let alone help. I’m left injured, disappointed, and angry. I’m now seeing a different doctor in hopes of fixing what was done to me. Proceed with caution if you’re considering care with Dr. Hsu.
