Dr. Raymond Lui, MD

It is difficult for me to write this review. There are too many negative reviews out there, however, I feel that my experience with this doctor is one that needs to be shared. This doctor's bedside manner is tolerable enough. However, when it comes to complicated cases, or a chronic condition he relies on the "simplest answer is the right answer" approach to medicine. I realize that is how they are trained, however, the simplest answer is not always the right one and it can prevent you from doing further tests to find the solution. I have suffered from a chronic problem that indicates further testing to check for things like CANCER. He adamantly refused to do any further testing, but simply wanted to treat it as an infection and give more antibiotics (which failed to work a number of times).While I have not been diagnosed with cancer, he refused to do any further tests. Not only did he not listen to my concerns, but he accused me of arguing with him. I'm sorry, but the patient does… have a right to disagree with the doctor. His practice manager, Carla, even came in to "convince" me that the doctor was right, and I was to do what he said. Carla is absolutely the worst, and I am thinking of reporting her to the licensing board. She has a way of making people feel very threatened, intimidated, and belittled. Beware of this doctor. This doctor, also, does not answer any of his messages through the gateway, or return phone calls.
