Dr. Raymond John Marquette, MD

I’ve been going to this office since 2022 when I was pregnant with my daughter. Back then, the office was great and the staff were always nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, during my current pregnancy, my experience hasn’t been the same.Today I received a call from Dr. Marqueett’s office about an appointment. I explained that I would likely need to cancel because I’m in the process of dropping one insurance so I can use another. The girls at the front desk previously told me that I had to drop my primary insurance in order to use my other insurance, so that’s what I’ve been working on. While I was explaining this on the phone, the employee started speaking to me in a very hostile and disrespectful tone. When I told her she didn’t have to talk to me that way, she laughed and said she wasn’t talking to me in any kind of way. I then asked to speak to a manager. She said, “Oh, she’s right here,” in a very rude tone. When the manager got on the phone, she immediately defended the employee… and said that the girl wasn’t speaking to me disrespectfully and that she was sitting right next to her. The manager also spoke to me in a rude and hostile tone. I asked her to stop speaking to me that way, but the conversation only became more frustrating. She then told me that no one in their office ever told me to drop my primary insurance in order to use the other one, basically accusing me of lying. This was upsetting because I have been calling for the past two weeks trying to make sure I was doing everything correctly with my insurance, and one of their employees specifically told me that was the only way to switch.At that point I decided to hang up and take my business elsewhere. It’s disappointing because I actually liked Brandy and Dr. Marqueett as my OBGYNs, but the way I was spoken to today was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
