Dr. Raymond J Olkin, MD

I liked Dr. Olkin personally, but I am very disappointed in him because one of his injections splintered a piece of needle into my foot aggravating an already painful neuroma. It can be seen in an x-ray he took about 6 months later (under the guise of "looking for a fracture"). HE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT. I didn't see the x-ray until I demanded to see it 3 years later (after pulling the steel splinter out myself). I suffered a lot of pain from it AND AM STILL SUFFERING because of a botched surgery at the hands of another inept and dishonest, misleading 'experienced' podiatrist. What Is With These Podiatrists!!? Why are they allowed to get away with so much malpractice?!!

This doctor does not submit forms to Medicare as other podiatrists do. I had to pay in full for a service of my 104 year old parent for the first time in 25 years.

After several visits to different area podiatrist, I was blessed to come across Dr. Olkin. I was referred to him by my insurance, although I asked insurance why him? Since there were more in the area—they said it is because of compliments from different patients, I guess they do their research as well!!! He was knowledgeable on the subject to treat my feet condition, being myself a diabetic with a poor controlled glucose, neuropathy has taken vengeance and some neuromas did not help the matter. He was honest from the beginning explaining the treatment needed. I was insisting on getting treatments that he explained were not needed, based on his expertise. I received alcohol injections. I was so hesitant due to my fear of needless. He was so gracious and kind to listen to my concerns, and I did not feel rushed. On a diff occasion had to see his colleague Dr. Said, also was so impressed with her bedside manner and experience. The staff is friendly, they don’t make you wait, you come… in, you are checked in and taken to room and doctor comes in—they value you as a person, and as a patient- On a funny note: They even sing happy birthday songs to patients—I saw patients leave happy every time I was in their office. Over 10 times due to my medical condition- Doctors like Dr. Olkin are hard to find nowadays. I am pain free--neuroma free woman!!!

Dr. Olkin is very experienced, cares about his patients and takes time to listen to us. Our family has been going to him for many years.
