Dr. Sjaarda saved my sight and keeps working on it. He is patient, knowledgable and a real person. He's not afraid to talk to you and with you. I've had too many doctors talk at me. He knows his profession and is truly a blessing for so many of us.

I have been seeing Dr. Sjaarda for a little over two years. I have diabetic retinopathy, macular edema and have had 3 eye hemorrhages and he took care of everything and my eyes are healthy and I have excellent eye sight. He did surgery on me and it went smoothly and I had great results. He is an excellent surgeon who truly cares about his patients. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Dr. Sjaarda performed 2 surgeries on me. He is a great surgeon and an even better human being. I can't speak highly enough of him and highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable and a great person who actually cares about helping people, which is becoming the exception these days.

I had a torn and detached retina. Even though I was a new emergency patient, I was seen promptly. He did an excellent job with laser surgery and followed up on a regular basis. He saved my sight and I never even had to change my eyeglass prescription. Not only is he a great retinal specialist, he is also a very nice person who is very caring.

Back in 2003 I was diagnosed with a retinal detachment that needed immediate surgery. He scheduled me for the next morning to reattach my retina that had been undiagnosed for 3 months. The surgery was successful and I have almost perfect vision.I have been back for follow-ups over the last 7 years and even if a year has gone by he remembers our conversations.
