Dr. Razi Rashid

This doctor cancelled my appointment on a Monday to the next day with epilepsy foundation. Was told by nurses that he did not call one patient on Tuesday like he was suppose to. Then called Wednesday and left a voicemail to say call me back with no number on voicemail. Can't get any of my medication cause this Dr makes his appointment just randomly when ever he wants. This was the worst mistake epilepsy foundation ever made hiring him on

Dr. Rashid was the best neurologist I could have ever hoped for. The staff is absolutely wonderful and very quick to help with any issue I ever had. In fact, Khadeeja sat on the phone (numerous times, and once for 2 hours!!) battling my insurance company to help me with my surgery. Dr. Rashid is very patient and made sure to answer any questions I had. He took a lot of time with each visit. He came in to each visit well prepared. He has helped in finding the right treatment options for me and displayed nothing but kindness and professionalism during my visits.

Dr. Rashid has a terrible bed side manner. He made it seems as if his job was to make me feel stupid, rather than to actually help me medically.

I was given this doctor in the ER since he was the neurologist on call that day. Good bedside manner during hospital stay. Spends approximately 10-20 min at bedside but documents in his notes that he spends 40 minutes or more speaking with the patient. LVN at his office is very slow at getting back with patient phone calls and apparently does not know what she is doing. Physician states he wants to have a procedure performed on patient & for the patient to have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks and it is hard for his staff to follow his orders. When you call his office for something, you have to speak to several staff members who act like you are a bother to them. I haven't heard one friendly voice in the 3 months I have seen this doctor. Being a nurse myself, I don't know how this office functions. I would never ignore a patient phone call or take 2-5 days to call them back. The wait at his office visits are just as bad & when requesting to try a different medication, they… don't review your records & give you the medication that you are already taking for your diagnosis. I am not sure if I was even diagnosed properly!! I hate dealing with this office. I am currently in the process of looking for a new neurologist due to the office staff. Note to Dr. Rashid: I was told by a physician once, that the office staff represents the physician. Dr. Rashid, get a new office staff if you care about your patients!
