Dr. Rebecca Benjamin John, MD

Condescending, rude and unprofessional demeanor. I had the unfortunate experience of seeing her during my pregnancy for gestational diabetes. I never went back after the initial visit. She uses scare tactics to threaten you.

I love Dr. John. She is very professional, listens to me and very, very pleasant. Wish I had gone to her a long time ago. In three visits she has done more for my thyroid problem then my other Dr. in 3 years. Great atmosphere in the office too. Highly recommend her!!

Dr. John was very professional and complete in explaining my diagnosis. The office staff is courteous. I feel Dr. John was paying attention to my symptoms and concerns. She spends more time with me than my other doctor visits

Her office has given me 4 conflicting plans of action in the last 3 months regarding my condition. Obviously they don't take my condition seriously enough to research and document the appropriate course of treatment and that is disconcerting.

I began seeing Dr. John 1 year ago. In 9 months times she had my A1C in an acceptable range, whereas for the previous year and a half, I struggled. She made me feel a part of the decision-making process and for the first time in a long while, hopeful about my Type 2 Diabetes. She and her staff are responsive to my needs and help me monitor my blood glucose levels on a every two week basis. I feel like I have found a true partner in my treatment

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. John. I am currently a patient. She is a superb doctor, she listens and takes time to answer all questions. I would highly recommend her and have already referred others to her

I went to this doctor expecting some help, boy was I wrong. This know it all doctor didn't even listen to what I had to say before her rude diagnosis. She should go back to school and learn how to be a doctor!!

Dr. John is condescending, rude and will tell you that you are not doing anything to help your condition even if you are putting forth effort. Her support staff was great, but she needs to get her attitude adjusted. I mean, really, she yelled at a pregnant woman with gestational diabetes that she was "killing her baby and it would be her fault if something goes wrong". Who the heck says that kind of thing to a pregnant woman who is trying? Besides that, what if something would have went wrong and whether it was her fault or not, would have been distraught. Then, after the gestational diabetes, did another 3 hour glucose for a check-up and the only thing wrong was a 2 point higher than normal fasting glucose, she wanted to medicate her. I think not. Avoid this doctor if you want someone caring and compassionate- Dr. John is NOT for you.

Same as the others. Minimal office hours and not being able to talk to a person when calling the office are frustrating. I went through a fairly complicated treatment with Dr. John and despite asking repeatedly for some information in writing, never received any so was completely in the dark for the course of the treatment (about a week). I have never been seen within a half hour of my appointment time, and feel rushed when I finally do get face time with the doctor.

From the very first phone call, I was disappointed in the service from this doctor and her staff. They use an answering machine, rather than a live person, so you can only leave a message and hope that someone calls you back within 24 hours. Then when they finally returned my call, I was told that the doctor must first review your file before they will make an appt. for you. Based upon the information in your file, the Dr. will decide how 'critical' your situation is, and she'll then decide how quickly she can "fit" you in for an appt. Are you kidding me? This is probably due to the fact that this doctor has a ridiculously low number of office hours. Monday - Thursday, 9:00am to 3:00pm, off on Friday. When the office called me back for what I thought was an opportunity for me to make an appt., I was told that Dr. John was pregnant and no longer accepting new patients. Shouldn't that have been the FIRST thing the person on the phone told me? Extremely poor customer service! Thank… goodness there are other (and better) Endocrinologists in the Denver metro area!
