Dr. Rebecca Marie Moxness, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Moxness for ten years. I unfortunately had to change doctors because the location that she works out of does not work logistically for me to visit regularly. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I have a tendency to ask loaded questions that lead conversations down rabbit holes. She was a very good listener and always let me fully verbalize my concerns. She also was very helpful in decisions regarding what medications to take and what technology would help me manage my Type 1 Diabetes. We have had many conversations regarding insulin pumps and CGMs. The only downside is that it is very difficult to get on her schedule. Often times she is booked 6 months out. But I think that is a testament to the care that she puts into her work. I would definitely recommend working with Dr. Moxness if she has openings!

After 9 months of trying to communicate the horrible side effects from her pescribed medicine, I had been very ill and I asked for a test, in which she said angrilly WITH HER FINGER POINTED IN MY FACE, I will give you the test and you will see that I am right! She was wrong. I should have never been taking what she prescribed.

Dr. Moxness has always been very helpful. It is hard to get an appointment with her, though.

I've been type 1 diabetic for 13 years before I found Dr. Moxness. I was being seen by a different "top doctor" endocrinologist, but I feel like since he was a male, he did not understand my frustration with my feminine issues I was experiencing such as weight gain and PCOS. After a miscarriage, I decided to search for another doctor and found Dr. Moxness. She had ordered additional tests, including a test for Celiacs disease and found that I had Hashimoto's, previous doctor did not test antibodies even with fluctuating TSH levels and said that everything was fine even though I was complaining of extreme fatigue, hair loss and weight gain. Her bedside manner is incredible and she spend an hour with me in the office visit. I felt like she actually listened to my symptoms rather than just looking at results. I felt very hopeful after leaving the office even with a type 1 diagnosis, PCOS and Hashimoto's. It took me months to get in to see her, but it was definitely worth the wait. … I can't say enough positive things about this doctor. Thank you!!!
