Dr. Rebecca Theresa Satoskar, MD

Dr. Rebecca Satoskar MD grew up in Minnesota alongside the Mississippi River. She graduated as the valedictorian of her high school class and went on to attend the University of Notre Dame for her undergraduate work. Here she studied pre-med, completed an honors thesis in psychology, and graduated summa cum laude. She attended the University of Chicago Medical School where she was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, an honor signifying a lasting commitment to scholarship, leadership, professionalism, and service which no more than 15% of all medical students achieve. She also received the American Medical Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation that is awarded to women in the top 10% of the graduating class. Dr. Satoskar completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago and her dermatology residency at University of California— Los Angeles and the University of Chicago. She is a board certified dermatologist, and after completing her …training, was in private practice and served on faculty at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. In 2009, Dr. Satoskar moved to the Washington, DC area and has been active in the local dermatology community since. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and a member of the Washington DC Dermatological Society. Dr. Satoskar now serves in a leadership role as Medical Director of Integrated Dermatology of Fairfax and looks forward to many years of service in the community. When not in the office, Dr. Satoskar is an avid student of vinyasa yoga and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
