Dr. Reed Earl Simpson, MD

I've worked with Dr. Simpson for over 3 years. In my opinion, he will help you get social security disability, which I did. And he submitted appropriate paperwork to discharge my student loans, which I am grateful. Dr. Simpson considers symptoms and general prognosis when determining prescribing medications and therapy. 20 minute sessions are well worth the money if you have insurance.

Dr. Simpson likes to talk about himself when you bring up almost any subject, which seems odd from a professional who should be trained to focus on the patient. He's very careful about documenting, and dispenses medicines carefully and (from what I can tell) appropriately.

Dr. Simpson has been my psychiatrist for the last 5 years. He works 6 days a week and the stress shows unfortunately. He keeps accepting new patients. He will not take a phone call, even during office hours. I you have an emergency you are out of luck. He is booked approximately one month in advance. He is VERY concerned about the 20 minutes of time he spends with you. If the session goes over for example 3 minutes, he will let you know that. I am not angry with him, I am a good person and I like Dr. Simpson, it is a shame what has happened to him. I have asked him to calm down more that a handful of times during a visit, he is easily frustrated and is anxious. I hope this post is able to be viewed, I would not recommend him.
