Dr. Reggie Matthew Augusthy, DO

Not impressed with this doctors bedside manor. From the moment he came in (and slammed the door) he made me feel like an inconvenience. He was very brief, seemed rushed, kept telling me my symptoms didn’t match a diagnosis. I left feeling I didn’t have reasonable options.

Extremely rude. Needs to know that when he closes the door and starts to speak to the staff about the patient behind the door, they cam hear him. Did not know that a male Dr can be in the room with a female patient without another female. STAY AWAY. FAR FAR AWAY.

That's what I was told by the doctor. He looked at the MRI's and CT scan that I brought to him and told me there was nothing wrong with my spine. I already knew that before from the other doctors that told me that same thing. I was hoping that he would help me with my, as diagnosed by other doctors chronic pain. Well he didn't. He only suggested seeing an acupuncturist, as I have been doing to help me. He told me that I would have to live with the pain. His visit was a waste of my time, and I'm still in pain.

I don't understand all these bad reviews. He's such an amazing doctor and his staff was friendly. I did witness one girl at the front desk having to be stern with a patient but the patient was also very rude and condescending so I think her stern behavior was warranted. People need to realize that you get more bees with Honey than vinegar. Be nice and they'll be nice in return.

Went to see him due to chronic pain and cervical stenosis causing radiating pain and cramping in my shoulder and down my arm. Injected my shoulder with a quick shot of something he barely explained to me. Office called me continuously to schedule a floroscopic injection for my spine without even explaining everything to me. Cancelled after not having all the info. Also told me if I ever have to have surgery on my neck or anywhere that I would have a very hard time controlling the pain because I have been taking pain meds for so long. That is just really helpful, right? No empathy whatsoever! No plan! Just condescending behavior and words. Would not recommend him at all.

I was told what I wasn't a good candidate for, too fat smoker but I was offered no relief no alternatives. I am going elsewhere.

Dr. Augusthy is an extremely good pain doctor. He cares about his patients and does his best to get you the correct treatment. He is an asset to his profession and Advocate Dryer Medical Center. He has a great bed side manner. I have the utmost confidence in him. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a pain doctor.

My appointment was for 9:15, at 9:30 I was informed the Doc was running 20 mins late. I was finally called at 9:50 by a very impersonal nurse. No apologies for running late. At 10 I met with another nurse who checked me briefly, again no apologies for running so late. She said the Doc would be in to see me soon... by 10:20 I walked out of the office. Never been to such an unprofessional practice, absolutely no regard for someone else's time... At 10:40 one of the nurses called me and said the Doc wanted to know if I wanted to come back or reschedule, Uhm... No, thank you!

Prepare to be judged and looked down on if you disagree with his treatment. Also, he thinks he knows more about how much pain you are in instead of trusting what you are telling him. When I mentioned that these injections are getting to expensive all he said was "they are only going to get more expensive". I would never recommend him to anyone that needs a good pain management doctor.

Dr. Augusthy is an excellent doctor. I highly recommend him.
