Dr. Regina Gabrielle Murcko, MD

At first I really liked Dr. Murcko because of how thorough she was with my history. She is knowledgeable and clearly experienced, but has a talent of making comments that are judgmental and self-righteous. I am old enough now that I can stand up for myself if any aspect of my sex life is judged, but I know that if I walked into her office at 18 and heard the same things, I would internalize it and feel ashamed. I regret referring my best friend to her because she had the same experience. Doctors NEED to be objective and compassionate.

Dr. Murcko is such a great doctor. She does run behind, but she always takes her time with me and listens to my questions and concerns and answers them. I never leave the office disappointed or confused on what we discussed. I keep that in mind when she does run behind, because I know she is doing the same thing for the patient(s) before me. The whole office is kind and friendly. I never have any issues. I recommend Dr. Murcko to anyone who is in search of a great OB/GYN.

I do not write negative reviews but I don't want anyone to go through what I did with Dr. Murcko. First, she did not even introduce herself so I wasn't even sure if it was her at first. She did not offer congrats which was strange. She very coldly told me I was "high risk miscarriage or abortion" based off of light spotting with my new OBGYN assured be is quite common. I would have overlooked this if she was knowledgeable but she knew very little about genetic screening and was unable to explain things. She also told me we could not know for sure if my baby was still alive, yet said the US wouldn't be for 6 more weeks. She did not answer my questions. I left in tears and my husband and I were extremely stressed out thinking the worse since that's what she told us. We immediately went to the ER and were overjoyed when we got to see the US and hear our baby's heart beat. Our new OBGYN is amazing and the complete opposite of Murcko. I went to her because she had the earliest availability… - now I understand why. I would never trust her with my prenatal care let alone putting her hands on my baby. It's worth the wait to see an OBGYN that's knowledgeable, compassionate, and capable.

I saw her for the first time at the recommendation of 2 friends and had a great experience after I had to find a new doctor for insurance reasons. I will definitely go back to see her again.

One of the r's which I would recommend. Great bedside manner, cares for you and your concerns about your health.

Dr. Murcko seems to be thorough and knowledgeable, but her bedside manner is awful. She comes off as condescending and self righteous. She actually laughed at one of my complaints as if it was silly and did not answer my questions directly. I need a doctor that shows compassion for me and my concerns.

I have been seeing Dr Murcko for over 10 years. She is always friendly and smiling. She asks me if I have any questions or need anything. I would highly recommend her

Some say she is very cold / distant but it's just her personality. She is very into her career and truly does care about her patients well being. If you want an excellent gynecologist , go to Dr Murcko .

She has a horrible bedside manner (very vague and cold and blames you if anything goes wrong, saying you didn't ask about things when you did), doesn't answer direct questions ever, and is difficult to get a hold of her or anybody else on call in an emergency. Hands you off to students and is very self impressed.

The staff is very kind, courteous, and personable. The nurses and receptionist are lovely. The hours they are open during which one can call to make an appointment are less than bankers' hours which is inconvenient. I rarely have to wait for more than a few minutes when I arrive for an appointment. Dr. Murcko has a terrible bedside manner. She never takes the time to explain anything, even when asked direct questions. She often appears to be visibly irritated when being asked to answer questions. The receptionist and nurses are great at the office, but I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone.
