Dr. Rehan Ahmad Farooqui, MD

I don’t know what these other people are talking about because he’s a great doctor. He’s caring, courteous, and shows concern. He also promptly returns phone calls which is a rarity. I am extremely pleased with him.

Here are the good parts of this doctor: you don't have to wait long to see him, he is intelligent when it comes to medications and management. He does answer questions you may have about medications or side effects. He is very competent in this portion of his specialty. Here is the stuff that may be hard for most people to take: he will ask you how things are going but really does not want to know, he will redirect you if you talk openly for more than a minute, and you will be done in less than 15 minutes 99% of the time. He does not wait until you have discussed possible concerns with medications to print this scripts. Once he stands up, he is walking you out of the office. There is no real closing comment before hand. If you are looking for a sympathetic doctor with good listening skills, seek elsewhere. I have to agree with the two prior reviews to mine. I understand you have to be focused and keep clients from going on and on about irrelevant stuff. However, this is… dealing with people who have mental health issues. No, you are not their counselor. You are part of the team of people needing to understand their current mental status. This enables proper medications and suggested treatment.

One of the rudest Doctor's I have ever encountered. Pushes his patients through like an assembly line and not very helpful. Has horrible knowledge about what certain drugs do and can be very stand off. Beware!

Dr Farooqui rushes you out, isn't thorough, misdiagnosed me, is rude and I actually got him written up for being unprofessional. He is not a good person, all he cares about is getting you out the door. Before I was even done with my list of symptoms, he was printing out my prescriptions and as soon as they were done, the session was over. I asked him if I could ever get off of SSI or go to college and said that I really needed to life plan (note: I had been his patient for years at this time) and he very rudely said "I don't read futures" He couldn't even tell me if I was getting better or not. He didn't even care about my life-planning. I wanted to go to school and eventually get off of SSI but he wouldn't off for me to go to school but at the same time, couldn't say wither he was going to recommend to take me off of disability or not. He just doesn't care.
