Dr. Rekha Pillai, MD

I was admitted to hospital after a month after receiving my MRI and seeing my Neurologist. I kept explaining to her my symptoms and she never addressed those concerns or stated that it could be because of an attack. So a couple weeks went by and I lost feelings even more and went to the hospital and they did the same test but expanded it to my lower extremities and found out that I was having an attack. They found lesions on my spine and neck. Once released back into the care of Dr. Pillai and staff didn't provide all documentation to the insurance so that they could approve the most effective treatment or medication. She instead just put another type of medicine in that has a higher risk of me losing my sight. She shows no concerns or sense of urgency about her patients.

We were very impressed, the staff is efficient and caring, and Dr. Pillai was interested and thorough and spent time talking to us and asking appropriate questions.

TRIED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT; RECEIVED THE MOST RUDE & CONDESCENDING ATTITUDE... AVOID W/ 'PLAGUE' STATUS ~

At first I did not like Dr. Pillai. I did not feel that she cared about what I was telling her and was put off that I called her office several times with a problem and it took them a week to call me back. Now, I LOVE her and her STAFF. She is very professional and SMART. She has made vast progress with my migraines and I know she is genuine in her concern for me as her patient. I still wish that she would come back in the room herself and dismiss me as her patient. This is important. Especially since patient I still have un-answered questions. Her office staff is outstanding. From the time you walk in the office they make you feel WELCOME!
