Dr. Rene Joukhadar, MD

Dr. Joukhadar is great and I haven't had an issue with most of his staff but Sharon. She is extremely rude, constantly on her phone and due to HIPPA she is supposed to print out the medications you're currently taking so that you can confirm them but twice when she has done this I have landed up with someone else's contact information or the wrong DOB on my list. And when you call and she puts you on hold you're on hold for an extremely long time sometimes its not her fault but most of the time (I have witnessed this while in office) she puts you on hold and then goes right back to texting. Personal messages and phone calls should not be done behind the desk. Any medical practice I have worked at considered that to be a HIPPA violation. And when you are finally able to talk to her to ask a question it's like she's on a heavy dose of speed and talks so fast that when you ask her to repeat something she cops an attitude. She has 0 customer service skills or bedside manor. Yes, she's not… a doctor but she represents the office and when you're a first-time patient its a poor reflection and sets a negative tone. I would find another doctor to go to because of her alone but unfortunately this is the only endo in the area.

After decades of not knowing my problems, Dr J seemed to immediately know what the diagnosis AND cause was. I would highly recommend Dr J.

Dr. J. is a knowledgeable Dr. I like him very much. Treatments for T2D were spot on. Word of advice - If you are lazy or not ready to commit, this is not the Dr. for you. I think he is wonderful.

I was very hesitant to see Dr. Rene but after meeting his staff and meeting him I am so glad I opted to keep the appointment. While we are still working on a cause and solution I can say that Dr. Rene is very precise and does not waste our time with trivial things. He is caring and determined to help me. It is still early but I feel confidant that he will be able to help me.

Yet, thank you. Dona Ana County is fortunate to have a physician of your quality and skills. I am more than just a patient, I am a retired medical practitioner with the skills to make an evaluation of such. Everyone can pay for the office, hire the assistants, but the energy and life of a practice comes from the doctors. I give Dr. Joukhadar five stars. Good job, from a grateful patient.

He was a very rude man! I would not recommend him to anyone !

Staff is wonderful. Doctor is the worst. He believes in only one medication path. Your results may vary. He is fast moving, runs out of the room and darts back, speaks too fast with a heavy accent, talks down to you, refuses to answer questions if you question his plan, and will have you running from his office crying as I did. Wants his own test results, will only consider one medication for your treatment. I went from an initial consultation to immediate tests costing over $18,000 and nothing was found. He just wanted his own results. You are herded through his sole treatment path like cattle. Good luck if this is your only choice for a doctor for an endocrine disorder.

I read some of the reviews on this site about Dr Joukhadar and wondered if we had seen the same physician. He is a no-nonsense doctor, but thorough and generous with his explanations. He speaks rapidly so can be hard to follow but that would be my only criticism. I really liked him, felt he was caring and a good diagnostician.
