In 2019 Renee did a papsmear on me. She never communicated my results which were positive for precancerous abnormal cells as well as hpv. I was getting a pap at my new dr in may of 2022 where she mentioned that I had had pre cancerous cells in my last pap three years ago. This came as a surprise to me. I called to speak with Renee and when she returned my call she told me that it was my fault for not seeking the results of the pap. I had also been back to the office two more times within the six months following the pap and was not informed. Renee also told me there there is a system within the online charts that lets the provider know if a patient has not read the messages in their chart becuase they are supposed to follow up. She says she never got the note. It’s a good thing it didn’t turn into cancer and I’m thankful for that but if it had in that time it would have been her fault for not telling me.
