Dr. Renee Christine Smith, MD

I’m a new patient with Dr. Smith. I’m over 8 months into pregnancy and have been seeing her since the beginning of this pregnancy. She is much more helpful than the Dr I saw with my first born, and always helps with my questions and concerns. Will definitely use her again for future babies and annual check ups!

Very rude to younger women , first time mothers !

Dr. Smith was very comforting during my hysterectomy surgery. My confidence in Dr. Smith is excellent. She has greatly improved my life. I recommend her to anyone who is afraid of this surgery. Thank you so much.

I am a young mom and when I decided to use Dr. Smith she was rude and did not do her job right. I felt as if she was criticizing me for choosing to have a baby so young. But the nurses are fantastic.

I work in the medical feild so a wait is not that big of a deal to me. She and her nurse are thorough in their care and I would rather wait and have great care then to be ran through like animals. She spends time with every pt to make sure there are no needs further then the appt. Her replacement nurse is even great. We do miss Amy but the new nurse cares just as much! I will wait in that office for longer periods of time to get the great care there then go anywhere else!!!

Improvements: wait time was minimal, nurse was friendly and helpful, Dr. Smith gave me the time I needed to discuss my concerns and answer my questions. Needs improvement: front desk receptionist seemed too busy to be friendly or helpful; Dr. Smith should have had her office contact me to discuss my lab results. Instead, I was given a print out and told to contact my PCP. I understand that there may be issues that my PCP should handle, but an explanation from Dr. Smith's office about what the results mean should have been given a higher priority than it was.

I have been a pt. of Dr. Smith for almost 4 yrs. She was my doctor when I was pregnant with my son. Over the yrs, everything has been wonderful and pleasant, until my last visit. I was told that I was going to be tested for STD's because of the birth control I have. I was fine with that. I received a call the following week saying there were "traces" of Chlamydia found. A prescription was faxed in for myself and my husband to take care of the issue. This caused so much chaios in my marriage that I didn't know what to do. I went to get retested to get a 2nd opinion, and that test was NEGATIVE!!! This office has caused me emotional stress, loss of money due to their poor testing, distrust in my marriage, and distrust in those that I SHOULD feel confident in to do their job the correct way. If they recommended me to get a 2nd opinion from the beginning instead of telling me I had Chlamydia, maybe I would continue to be a pt. at their facility. So I recommend to all that go to this… office....be careful for whom you trust with your health, and ALWAYS get a 2nd opinion! This is the LAST time I go there again!!!

Dr. Smith is a nice doctor, however, the office staff leave a lot to be desired. On two different occasions I've had to endure the loud, offensive stories that the ladies behind the counter were engaged in. One time, several were bragging about their wild drunk weekends (so drunk I threw up-just like in Chicago! one woman exclaimed....)these stories are told at such a volume, everyone in the waiting room is forced to listen. I had my 3 year old daughter with me and felt it was rude and very unprofessional. Another time, I got to hear the receptionist gossip about a patient-this was very unnerving. I am too far along in my pregnancy to change doctors now but I will not be returning after my baby is born. The wait time alone is reason not to go- Every appt. I've had, I wait at least 30 minutes before getting called back. Sometimes I'm waiting for an hour. This is for a 5 minute OB appt!
