I love Dr.Mapitigama, she is kind and treats me with dignity and respect, and shows real concern and care.

She is an excellent doctor with a good attitude, pleasant bedside manners and an exceptional ability to diagnose accurately. I would highly recommend her for any pulmonary related diseases. She is also my physician for Internal Medicine.

She is extremely knowledgeable, and I think that makes her such an excellent clinician and a teacher. Besides the fact that she is very smart, knows the literature, and has a great deal of experience, she has a tremendous enthusiasm for learning. She would be the one I send any complex patient to in a heartbeat because I know she will get the right answer 9 times out of 10. What is amazing to me is how often she is right, how often she has just hit the nail on the head.

She has exceeded all of our expectations as a pulmonary and a sleep medicine doctor. I never believed I will ever in my life, find a doctor as good as she is. It is hard to imagine that a physician like this could exist in a vastly commercialized and a materialistic world we live in. She is most certainly out of this world. She had a superior knowledge compared to all of my previous physicians in this specialty. She took time to explain what exactly the issue with me was. Just the psychological effect of my first visit to her was enough to solve half of my medical problems. She followed up very closely. Every time I visited her, she knew my name, the names of my family and the medicine I am taking with the exact dosage information. I have been her patient for over 1 year and she has impressed me right throughout. Her practice location is not very convenient to me, but I will drive even 100 miles if I have to, to see her. And I mean this seriously. God bless this physician.

My family is very thankful for this doctor for saving my life. She is a very compassionate doctor who spends a long time with her patients. Her knowledge and bedside manners are excellent. She is a specialist in pulmonary and sleep medicine, but my husband and I go to her for internal medicine as well. My husband was initially a little hesitant to go to a woman physician, but he has changed his mind completely after visiting her. She treats her patients as if they were her own family. I feel quite comfortable with her and feel very safe to be in her hands. I give my highest recommendation for anybody to go to her. In my personal opinion she is the best doctor in the world.

Best Pulmonologist and the sleep specialist in the area. This doctor discovered my sleep apnea problem, and has resulted in significant improvements in my pain levels and my ability to function normally. I have never seen a physician as compassionate and indulgent as she is. She was highly recommended by a friend of mine to whom I am ever grateful. She has a busy practice and was hard to get an early appointment but the wait was well worth it.
