Dr. Rezina Shahid Ahmed, MD

I have been seeing Rezina Shahid for approximately six and a half years, the only reason I have not changed doctors is because there are doctors worse than her at JAH Veterans Hospital. Shahid like most doctors I have encountered in the VA health Care system are afraid and extremely reluctant to write accurate Medical exam Reports if said Report would be supportive to a benefits Claim. Rezina Shahid once during a VA primary care appoint stood across the room from me reviewing my spinal X ray and softly whispered the words "BONE TO BONE" AS IF I WERE NOT THERE, When I asked her to write her observation in her report of examination she refused to do so. I another instance when I asked her opinion as to the possibility of a medical situation concerning my self could possibly be similarly caused or aggravated by a like scenario I found on the internet, rather than render an opinion she simply wrote something to the effect that he found it on the internet. In my much warranted,… unequivocally, substantiated knowledge bank, most non white VA Doctors are reluctant to write even accurate, Medical Reports if said report supports Disability Claims. Decades of experience on the VA hamster wheel hs verified this truth. I am afraid it may never change, GOD HELP THE UNSUSPECTING.

Did not listen but did here what I said. I told her some things I was interested in getting done and she ignored about half. She did not verify what she was going to do and some things did get done but some were apparently ignored.

Best of my knowledge, she should be one of the best Doctor & a good human being. I know her since very long time. I am really shocked (MUNNI), seeing such a review!!! ??? Wish her all the best.

My experience with this doctor at the VA Hospital, St. Pete yesterday was essentially awful. One of the most lackadaisical attitudes I have ever encountered. I sat in the ER with a torn tendon for two hours before she came in and tried to send me home with ice and ibuprofen. Said very little. I had to insist on an xray just to be sure there was nothing broken. She assured me she would make an appt with an orthopedic specialist to have an MRI done. When I called back today for more info, she had listed this is as non emergency- follow up appt suggested within 30 days. There is absolutely NO WAY I could have waited even a few days much less 30 days without the amount of pain and discomfort I am in. Some people have no business being healthcare providers. I would never see this doctor again.
