Dr. Riaz Shahid, MD

The doctor is absolutely wonderful, but his front desk person Mayte is terrible. She never answers the phone, she is rude and cuts people off to take personal calls on her cell. You have to call at least 6 times before she answers phone. Very unprofessional. Very sad that such a great doctor has such a bad staff.

my dad is doctor's Riaz 's patient for 4 years .He was diagnosed with parkinson's disease .Dr Riaz always takes his time with him and his condition is stable .I am very happy with the doctor and his staff .His staff are always very friendly and helpful .i would recommend the doctor to all my friends and family .

I have been seeing Dr. Riaz for over 4 years now for my chronic migraines and since I've been seeing him I have had so much relief. He is very understanding and professional. He takes very good care of his patients. His staff is very courteous and friendly. I am very happy to be a patient of Dr. Riaz, I recommend him to all of my friends and family.

Dr Riaz takes his time listening and is very thorough and compassionate. You may have to wait a bit in the waiting room, but it is well worth it! He does everything he can to get to the bottom of your issue and find a solution for it. I couldn’t put my neurological health in anybody else’s hands!

I was skeptical after reading reviews. When I got the wait was long like reviews said for me over 1.5 hrs. I gave the highest rating because Dr. RIAZ knows his stuff, if I tell u the run around in hospitals etc I got before finding him via referral your jaw would drop. I never felt rushed, this explains the wait. Every second I waited was worthwhile. He is detailed, educated me and listened. Now the horror are the two girls working the desk. I called several times, they either hung up or asked me to hold indefinitely. As I sat near there reception area they appeared to be doing nothing much. They r not friendly, they could at least once poke their head out and say "the Dr is running an hour behind" or something. The office is also not configured adequate for wheelchair. Dr. Riaz may be one of the few MD left that sincerely cares about people.

The staff is not component! I am looking for a new doctor just because of his staff. I like him as a doctor, but his staff is the last straw!

Worst staff of any doctor I have. Staff is incompetent. They don't return calls and can never get through to doctor. They lose paperwork and don't follow up, especially when you need a prescription refilled. The waiting time is terrible. I've had to wait over 2 hours at times. Doctor is very nice and professional, but he's got to get better staff.

TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I WOULD NEVER GO SEE THIS DR AGAIN STAFF CLAIMS I'M NOT IN THERE SYSTEM AND DR. RIAZ PUT ME ON A MEDICATION THAT GAVE ME MORE SIDE AFFECTS THEN I COULD HANDLE. I WILL NOT GET INTO DETAILS OF IT BECAUSE I FEEL HE RUDE AND THE DR UNPROFESSIONAL ON MANY LEVELS . I'M LUCKY TO BE ALIVE TODAY. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A DR STAY FAR AWAY FROM AND HIS STAFF AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. WHEN I ENTERED THE OFFICE. THERE WAS A LADY BEHIND THE DESK THAT PRETENDED TO PICK UP THE PHONE AND THEN HUNG UP CUT ME OFF EVERY TIME I WENT TO SPEAK AND WHEN I WALKED OUT OF OFFICE I COULDN'T GET THROUGH THE NEXT DAY ON PHONE. TWO DAYS LATER CALLED SHE CLAIMED SHE COULD NOT FIND ME IN THERE SYSTEM.

I have RLS and Complex Migraines; He not only understands my condition of over 30+ years but understands the treatment with compassion and due to my severity has given me his personal cell in need of desperate (ONLY) emergency; which is then transferred so that the staff knows it is a desperate situation. Locally rated by one of the top 10 Orlando/FL hospitals as Neuro doctor of the year several times! I can't say how excellent Dr. Riaz is; get past the staff and see this doctor and you WILL see the best!!

Great doctor. Takes forever to get him into the exam room, but once he's there, he stays until you feel completely done talking to him and getting your scripts written, etc. Very nice person too.
