While the doctor was friendly, professional and thorough, I only spent 8 minutes with him. The office is the problem, maybe he should have a little influence over the cluster mess that's been created there. It was like stepping back to 1990! I was told to expect to be there for 2 to 3 hours for my appointment "because they were short a doctor"... Mmmm, how about hiring someone who knows how to schedule instead of telling all of your patients that THEY will be inconvenienced by CEL's lack of motivation to fix their own problem? My surgeon sent orders to this particular establishment, so I sucked it up and took time off work to get the testing I need for upcoming brain surgery. 6 days later, the ordering doctor had not received the results, I called. They couldn't FIND my chart!! The excuse for this situation was that their computer systems had been hacked "a couple of months ago so they were doing everything manually" and had to FIND my records in order to send them - AGAIN, not my… problem, how about hiring someone to fix your computer so that you can appropriately serve your patients? Finally, the test results were sent to the surgeon after a week of babysitting. I decided that maybe I need to get a copy of my own records - since these brainiacs will probably lose them again - I filled out the release form from the website, couldn't find an email or portal to submit, called and was told that they don't have a secure email for me to send the request to, I would have to fax it, bring it in or use USPS (don't even get me started on the USPS worthlessness...) Well, I'm an hour away from the office, I don't have a fax machine (who has a fax machine anymore?????) I will NOT be returning to this facility; I personally don't even think they should be in business

My husband had Dr Aviles do his cataract surgery on his right eye. He now has 20/25 vision in that eye. quite remarkable. Next week Dr Aviles is performing cataract surgery on his left eye.

I recently completed cataract surgery on both eyes, and now having almost perfect eye sight in both eyes can unequivocally report that Doctor Aviles is an exceptional eye surgeon. My optometrist had recommended several surgeons to do this surgery on both eyes. I researched the backgrounds on all of them and decided on Dr. Aviles. I am glad I did. He found other problems with my eyes that the optometrist did not see such as a lesion emanating from the optic nerve. One reviewer mentioned that Dr. Aviles had a poor bed side manner. I think I can explain this. Dr. Aviles was at one time an engineer and all engineers are known to be serious workers. OK, a generalization and perhaps not statistically proven, but enough to satisfy me. (g) The important thing to me is he has the training to do a systematic and excellent job. I highly recommend him. I had many visits to the clinic he worked at and I saw many satisfied patients leaving his surgery room. He has reportedly done… countless cataract surgeries. His surgery staff is also one of the best I have seen in my life and I have seen plenty of them!

Dr. Aviles has the personality of a wet leaf. I've seen him twice now, and each time I've had to wait. My simple appointment today took over an hour and a half. Although Dr. Aviles saw me waiting in the treatment room and saw the light above the door indicating that I was the next patient, he took two people before me. His attitude seems hostile, or maybe he just hates his job. I don't know, but I won't be seeing him again.
