He is very nice and considerate to me , he took excellent care of my skin problem.Dr.Bullen is an excellent dermatologist and surgeon.

I went to have some skin problems looked at on my face. I had earlier emailed the doctor and asked what was the prices for the office visit and how much were lab test. The reply was to get a hold of the office in Panama. I called and was told the office visit was $50.00 but couldn't get a reply on what were the lab test cost. My appointment was for 12pm I waited for over a hour and 15min's to be took to the examination room then another 15min before he arrived. I had one area on my face that I was concerned about and felt I needed a biopsy. Upon examination he said that there was another spot that look suspicious and should have a biopsy also. I asked how much would that cost and his reply was a lot cheaper then it would cost in the USA. He took the biopsy's and froze some other problem areas on my head. He then looked me over including my feet. This all took a matter of less then 30 minutes. When I returned to the office I was presented with a $660.00 dollar bill. This included a… charge for looking at my feet.I thought they were joking at first but it wasn't a joke. When I told them I would not pay that amount they went to talk to the doctor returning saying he is with another patient and would come out once he is finished. What he really did was call the police. I am not a fluent Spanish speaker and it was very difficult trying to explain what was going on. The doctor came out at this time and when ever I would try and point out to the police that I tried to find out what the fees were before seeing this doctor he (Dr. Bullen) would start yelling and making actuations not letting me be able to talk. In the end the police said if I didn't pay the bill I would have to go to the police station. I paid not wanting to go to jail and will be at the American council here in Panama to file a complaint. This guy is a nut. If you still are thinking of seeing him be sure you have in writing exactly what he is charging for and how much the total cost is. This is the type of doctor who's greed will stop at no limit and prays upon the unsuspecting.
