He's just there for the money. He truly doesn't care about taking care of kids. He will ask you questions and rush you while you're trying to answer "his" questions.

We felt like he didn’t help our hurt 12 year old Boy because we were Black.

I was absolutely appalled at how he treated my 2 month old (at the time, 2019) and myself at our visit. My daughter was in pain from a diaper rash from horrendous diarrhea caused by her congestion and mucus. She also had RSV and I was concerned with her breathing. "Dr. Jimenez" came in and pressed on her stomach, never evaluated her bottom and told us "It's RSV, let it run its course and she will be fine." I inquired as to whether my child could have tylenol or not at her age and he raised his hands and said, I'll have someone bring you the dosing chart. The sweet nurse that cared for us had to go back and ask him TWICE before us leaving for this dosage AGAIN. He then wrote on our discharge papers to give the infant "75mg" of tylenol which I later found out was INCORRECT - luckily I did not give my daughter the dosing he recommended. We were NOT pleased and are currently disputing our copay of our visit with him since it was a completely wasted trip and we still ended up seeing her… pediatrician the next day. I would NEVER recommend anyone ever visit Scottish Rite, but instead if you must, avoid this physician and go to Egleston.

Dr Ricardo Jimenez was very unprofessional, judgmental and, disrespectful. After checking my son's temperature and breathing he tells me there's nothing I can do for my sons congestion and not to give him any medicines because they're not going to work. He then pulls me in the hallway and accuses me of being high on marijuana because my eyes are red and says I have to have someone come pick me and my son up or he's going to call social services. I told him my son and I just woke up at 3:30 a.m. that's why my eyes are red, his eyes are red as well, he's sick, we both just got up from his continuous cough. Who doesn't wake up with red eyes? So I called my mother to pick my son and I up from the hospital at 5:30 a.m. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at Children's Hospital or any Hospital for that matter. Dr Ricardo Jimenez was more concerned about why my eyes are red instead of my son's well-being and that doesn't sit well with me at all, I was offended by Dr Ricardo… Jimenez. I felt judged, disrespected, inconvenienced, and threaten. I'm a single father with primary custody of my son and for Dr Ricardo Jimenez to try to destroy that left a real bad taste in my mouth for children's hospital and Dr Ricardo Jimenez. If you are African American and you appointed Dr Ricardo Jimenez I suggest you request another doctor on staff. Dr Ricardo Jimenez it's not the right person for the African American community. He basically judged me for being African-American with red eyes and did absolutely nothing for my son, It was a waste of time.

Dr Ricardo Jimenez "assisted" my grandchild in the emergency room at 4am because my grandson had been fighting a headcold but woke at 3:30 vomiting and congested. His dad woke in a frantic and brought his son to the ER for help. Instead of helping the sick child, Dr Ricardo Jimenez quickly judge my African American son of being under the influence of marijuana because his eyes were still from waking from a sound sleep to rush his son to Children hospital. He went as far as to threaten to call social services and demand my son call me-his mother to depart. My son was simply waken from his sleep with NO drugs in his body. HOW DARE this person make such accusations! OH and he did nothing at all to assist my grandson with his symptoms/condition. This man should not be available to assist ANYONE, especially children. DO NOT waste your time. We will continue to make certain that no one else has to be discriminated against while worried about their child. His job is to make the kids better… not attack a parent for seeking help.
