Dr. Santayana is personable and friendly, once you get into his office. However, the wait time is long - sometimes many hours. The staff appears overworked and can be rude. Dr. Santayana tends to ignore symptoms, and after being his patient several years, I found that being aggressive and angry is the only way to get referrals to appropriate specialists. The specialists in the JSA group, the only one he can refer to, are largely incompetent.

Dr. Santayana is very competent and caring with his patients. He has been my personal physician for many years. I trust his judgement and I am very grateful to him .
