Dr. Ricardo Jose Velazquez, MD

I am in the medical field and never in my life have I seen such a poorly operated office. Not one of the staff members is competent enough to even take simple phone calls left alone fax important documents. The staff is so incompetent I think the Doctor hirers who he can pay the least amount to, and their work proves it. Warning to ALL DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR FOR ANYTHING.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ricardo for 2 years now, he is amazing. the front office staff has had a lot of changes, but the staff he has at the moment is exceptional especially the girl that gives you your papers at the end 1,000 times better then the girl who was there before her. new manager also actually answers the phone when you call her direct line . wouldn't think twice about recommending him.

CALLED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, MARYLENA ANSWERED AND WAS REALLY HELPFUL GOT ME IN THE NEXT DAY. UPON ARRIVAL OF MY APPOTINMENT IT DID TAKE SOME TIME BUT SINCE IT WAS MY FIRST VISIT I FIGURED IT WAS BECAUSE OF ALL THE PAPERWORK. THE DR. IS CHARISMATIC & ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. REALLY SEEMED CARING. THE YOUNG LADY AT THE EXIT, I DIDNT GET HER NAME.... BUT SHE WAS VERY EFFICIENT. ALL AROUND GOOD GROUP OF STAFF.

Where do I begin with this horrible office. The staff is very unprofessional, clueless about anything they are doing. It took a month for the "office manager" to return my call. I have no idea how this physician got MD behind his name he has no passion or brain for his field. Not only is his staff useless but they are dangerous.

The front office staff are the absolute WORST I've ever dealt with. I called as soon as their office opened and made a same-day appointment. After leaving work a bit early (feeling terrible), I arrived about 15 mins early for my appointed time. After signing in and waiting about 30-40 mins, I was called back up to pay my $15 co-pay. Then after sitting down for another 10 mins, I was again called back up to now fill out updated patient information forms. I asked why i wasn't given these forms upon sign in? The lady smirked and kind of laughed it off as I took the forms, but never gave me an answer. At this point I'm VERY agitated because I had already been sitting in wait for close to an HOUR! I decided to ask how much more of a wait there would be... I was told that I had been put down as a "WALK-IN" and there were about 5 people in front of me; another 45 min-1 hour wait! At this point I am BEYOND frustrated and asked to speak with an office manager. After waiting yet another 15 mins,… some lady comes out (whom I assume is the "manager"), doesn't even address my complaint, and shoves a paper in my face saying that I was being TERMINATED AS A PATIENT! I was floored. When asked why I was being termed, she said during a visit back in 2015, I told them I was never coming back to the office (a COMPLETE fabrication of the truth). In fact, (during my first and ONLY visit to this office) Dr. Velazquez referred me to a Neurologist for carpal tunnel (which is why I went to him in the first place). I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this facility! I only went because my Dad referred them... lesson learned.

Dr. Velazquez is kind and has an awesome bedside manor. He has saved my life and continues to guide me on my recovery. I don't think many other Doctors could have made me change my ways and encouraged me the way Dr. Velazquez has. I am truly grateful to have stumbled across him and made him my primary physician.

I've never had an issue with Dr. Velazquez, but his staff is rude, especially those answering the phones, They basically tell you "too bad so sad" when you're in need, and that's when they bother to pick up the phone. I called for an entire day (a Wednesday), and the staff never took the "office is closed" message off the line. I hope he knows they are costing him customers.

This doctor made my mothers medical ordeal even worse. He is arrogant & does not know how to listen. He speaks over you & even laughed at my mother when she got a word in about her condition. He definitely did show to have the best interest of the patients & was more concerned with his own interest. I would warn anybody to stay away from this doctor. He is definitely no professional!!!
