Dr. Ricardo Jermain Whyte, MD

Awesome.

I thought Dr. Whyte was very nice. It was comforting to see him in the mornings. He had empathy and knew exactly how to help me. All the other people there agreed, you were lucky if you got him as your doctor at that hospital.

IMO Ricardo Whyte MD is THE shining star at that facility. Kind and compassionate, very good listener. Always friendly. I felt 100% better after only 5 days under his care. Outstanding ability to diagnose quickly and accurately. Non judgmental as well. I was there for depression after the loss of my husband, mother and best friend all within 3 months. I'm not proud to say I told a little whyte (LOL) lie to make sure I was admitted to his unit...I said I was dependent on Valium...hey, I'd rather lie and be there than endure the horror of being on the unit directly across from his.

As a survivor of assault with PTSD, I really do not appreciate the fact that Dr. Whyte told me I was "taken advantage of" and not assaulted. For this reason, I definitely do not recommend him for trauma.

I would NOT recommend visiting Loma Linda for any form of detox ESPECIALLY when it comes to Dr. Whyte, he likes to toy with psych meds, for example he will give you one med and then cut you off the next day and then you have to go thru withdrawals from that... Dr. Solomon who works there is NOT a psych but he is an awesome doctor, Dr. Whyte on my discharge papers, I stated I was not pleased with him. I have serious insomnia, one night I slept 2 hours, the next night i slept 3 hours and then I had to go see him and he snickered and said I slept 5 hours in 2 day, it is better than nothing and discharged me.... No to Dr. Whyte unless you want to be a guinea pig
