Dr. Richard Avery, DO

Do not know what happened to my review I just attempted to post as I was finishing it vanished?! So will try again. I am 82 years old and a disabled Vietnam Vet and have lived in several places across the USA and a number of foreign countries, so I have had experience with lot of doctors and medical folks. I have never had a better doctor treat me than Doctor Avery, he is the greatest. He communicates clearly and listens to me, and his staff are all great too and I wish I had more space here to tell you all of the great things that Doctor Avery and his team of professionals have done for me and my wife over the years. Yes, I see a couple of folks are concerned about a short wait time, but this happens and, in most places, even longer but the key here is the level of care you get is the important issue and well worth the wait if it should happen once in a while. Would you prefer to be rushed in with little to no real care?? You can find those places all over town no care or poor care… but you don't have to wait.

As per title, my experience was more than hour wait in the lobby and 1/2 hour in the little room. Docs control patient load; he's too busy but advertises accepting new patients. They could at least give a courtesy heads up.

I saw Dr. Avery for about six months. He's a good doctor with a great personality. He diagnosed my S.I joint and Lower lumbar problems very fast and accurately. He took the time to search for the exact causes of my injuries. Dr. Avery helped me with effective medicine and therapy recommendations. He's a down to earth man and quick with a smile. He tells it like it is. On one visit I told him, doctor I feel old. ( I am 63 ) Without hesitation, he said " You ARE old!" ( with a smile) Sometimes you just need to hear it from a doctor. The Nile is not just a river in Egypt, lol! He's good on imaging. He's good with patients. I recommend him with flying colors. John Hancock , patient.
